Mechanically and Chemically Defined PEG Hydrogels Improve Reproducibility in Human Cardioid Development

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Synthetic matrix metalloproteinase (MMP)‐degradable polyethylene glycol (PEG)‐based hydrogels are developed to investigate the influence of mechanical and biochemical cues on cardioid development. Matrix stiffness and cell adhesion motifs significantly regulate cardioid formation, chamber morphogenesis, contractile function, and cardioid transcriptome.

Note on galaxy catalogues in UHECR flux modelling [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
We consider the dependence of ultra-high energy cosmic ray (UHECR) flux predictions on the choice of galaxy catalogue. We demonstrate that model predictions by Koers & Tinyakov (2009b), based on the so-called KKKST catalogue, are in good agreement with predictions based on the XSCz catalogue, a recently compiled catalogue that contains spectroscopic ...

A catalogue of aphid parasitoids (Hymenoptera: Braconidae: Aphidiinae) from India [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
A catalogue of aphidiine parasitoids (Hymenoptera: Braconidae: Aphidiinae) associated with various aphids species occurring in India was compiled. The present catalogue with 125 species under 22 genera has been further reinforced with not only all the ...

The PASTEL catalogue of stellar parameters

open access: yes, 2010
The PASTEL catalogue is an update of the [Fe/H] catalogue, published in 1997 and 2001. It is a bibliographical compilation of stellar atmospheric parameters providing (Teff,logg,[Fe/H]) determinations obtained from the analysis of high resolution, high ...

Biomimetic Glycosaminoglycan‐Analog Hydrogel for Improved Embolization of Aneurysms: Environment‐Selective Swelling

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Biomimetic glycosaminoglycan analog hydrogels exhibit suitable and robust mechanical properties, as well as hemocompatibility and biocompatibility, making them ideal for the embolization of intracranial aneurysms. Notably, the hydrogel's environment‐selective swelling properties enable complete blockage of the aneurysm cavity while preventing ...

Morphometric‐Assisted Prediction of Developmental Toxicity Using Stem Cell‐Based Embryo Models in Microwells

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This proof‐of‐concept study involves high‐throughput teratogenicity screening of compounds using XEn/EpiCs, a 3D stem cell‐based embryo model, within microwells. The term ‘morphotoxicity’ is introduced to complement traditional cytotoxicity assays through automated feature extraction and machine‐learning‐assisted classification of morphologies.

MCXC-II: Second release of the Meta-Catalogue of X-Ray detected Clusters of galaxies [PDF]

open access: yesA&A 688, A187 (2024)
We present the second release of the Meta-catalogue of X-Ray detected Clusters of galaxies (hereafter MCXC-II). The MCXC-II has been compiled from publicly available ROSAT All Sky Survey-based (NORAS, REFLEX, BCS, SGP, NEP, MACS, CIZA, RXGCC) and serendipitous (160SD, 400SD, SHARC, WARPS, and EMSS) cluster catalogues.

Organoid‐Like Neurovascular Spheroids Promote the Recovery of Hypoxic‐Ischemic Skin Flaps Through the Activation of Autophagy

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Highly sprouting organoid‐like neurovascular spheroids (NVUs) are developed, featuring cell‐loaded poly‐3‐hydroxybutyrate 4‐hydroxybutyrate(P34HB) porous microsphere cores embedded within Gelatin Methacryloyl. NVUs formed complex vascular plexuses and secreted extracellular matrix in vitro, simulating autologous nerves and blood interaction.
