New UltraCool and Halo White Dwarf Candidates in SDSS Stripe 82

open access: yes, 2007
A 2.5 x 100 degree region along the celestial equator (Stripe 82) has been imaged repeatedly from 1998 to 2005 by the Sloan Digital Sky Survey. A new catalogue of ~4 million light-motion curves, together with over 200 derived statistical quantities, for ...

Multifunctional Fibrous Mats: Stretchable, Conductive, and Hydrophilic Platforms for Wearable Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
A hydrophilic, stretchable, nonwoven electrospun fiber mat targeted to be applied in long‐term bioelectronic devices. By incorporating amphiphilic polyethylene glycol block copolymers in a polydimethylsiloxane matrix, the material develops stable hydrophilicity, enhanced breathability, as well as enhanced adhesion to cells.

A Sino-German 6cm polarisation survey of the Galactic plane IX. HII regions

open access: yes, 2019
Large-scale radio continuum surveys provide data to get insights into the physical properties of radio sources. HII regions are prominent radio sources produced by thermal emission of ionised gas around young massive stars.

Ethics and cataloguing

open access: yesJLIS.it, 2019
The paper offers an overview of ethical issues about cataloguing. After a general introduction about the topic in library science, the paper analyses two principal issues: access to information, in particular about semantic access, and data. Ethical issues are a part of the cataloguing process and affect the way cataloguers create metadata for the ...

Self‐Detecting Mid‐Infrared Dual‐Comb Spectroscopy Based on High‐Speed Injection‐Locked Quantum Cascade Lasers

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, EarlyView.
A compact self‐detecting dual‐comb spectroscopy (DCS) system based on dispersion‐engineered, high‐speed packaged quantum cascade lasers (QCLs) at λ≈4.6 μm under coherent injection locking is demonstrated. Broad multiheterodyne comb signal with reduced tooth linewidths by orders of magnitude is recorded.

GDC: Integration of Multi‐Omic and Phenotypic Resources to Unravel the Genetic Pathogenesis of Hearing Loss

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Overview of the Genetic Deafness Commons (GDC), integrating data from the Chinese Deafness Genetics Consortium (CDGC) and 51 public databases. The GDC provides tools for variant search, functional predictions, and gene‐disease visualization, offering insights into 201 hearing loss genes and facilitating novel gene discovery and clinical applications ...
