Predictions for Fermion-Pair Production at LEP [PDF]
The status of predictions for fermion-pair production at LEP is summarized with emphasis on LEP2 energies and on the physics interest there. Some numerical comparisons with other programs are performed. We also present first results of a semi-analytical recalculation of photonic corrections with acollinearity cut in the ZFITTER approach.

Transfer of Manure as Fertilizer from Livestock Farms to Crop Fields: The Case of Catalonia [PDF]
Intensive livestock production might have a negative environmental impact, by producing large amounts of animal manure, which, if not properly managed, can contaminate nearby water bodies with nutrient excess. However, if animal manure is exported to nearby crop fields, to be used as organic fertilizer, pollution can be mitigated.

Electrochemical sensors in which plasma‐treated poly(lactic acid) (PLA) acts as both selective coating layer and electrode have been prepared. For this purpose, low‐pressure O2, N2, or air plasma has been applied to PLA specimens that have been previously shaped using three‐dimensional printing.

Improved Determination of the b-Quark Mass at the Z Peak [PDF]
Next-to-leading order calculations of heavy quark three-jet production in e^+ e^- annihilation are reviewed. Their application for the measurement of the b-quark mass at LEP/SLC and to the test of the flavour independence of the strong coupling constant are discussed. Prospects for future improvements are studied.

In this study, a novel composite based on calcium phosphate ceramic and the plasma‐treated hydrogel is developed. With such a combination it is possible to supplement the excellent bone regenerative properties of calcium phosphates bone grafts with an anticancer agent, that is, the plasma‐treated hydrogel. While being selective toward OS cells in vitro,
