Decoupling Silicon and Graphite Contribution in High‐Silicon Content Composite Electrodes

The decoupled blend cell setup enabled to assess that even a small mass fraction of silicon in a Si/Gr composite negative electrode can increase significantly the stress (effective C‐rate) of graphite. This effect should be considered if composites with large amounts of silicon are to be developed commercially.

Pine bio‐oil based biorefinery procedure for the production of antioxidants, acids, and sugars

Abstract In this study, a wood‐based biorefinery with Pinus halepensis biomass was developed to obtain acids, sugars, and antioxidants with high recovery yields. Pine wood residues from sustainable forest management are transformed into bio‐oil (BO) and separated into value‐added chemicals with an integrated and innovative methodology.

In Situ Elucidation of Reaction Mechanisms in Electrocatalysis Using Scanning Electrochemical Microscopy

This review highlights the principles, recent advances, and emerging applications of Scanning Electrochemical Microscopy (SECM) in electrocatalysis. We discuss its use in carbon dioxide and oxygen electrocatalysis, the detection of short‐lived intermediates, and provide a framework for its implementation in investigations of electrocatalytic interfaces.
