Analogue model for quantum gravity phenomenology [PDF]
So called "analogue models" use condensed matter systems (typically hydrodynamic) to set up an "effective metric" and to model curved-space quantum field theory in a physical system where all the microscopic degrees of freedom are well understood. Known analogue models typically lead to massless minimally coupled scalar fields.

One of the main tendencies developing under the domination of great official languages and the international English is the resurrection of minor Roman languages, such as Occitan. The reason of their successful and increasing support by the local population is a psychological necessity to express, evolve and show their linguistic personality, to bring ...

Gate‐Tunable Hole Transport in In‐Plane Ge Nanowires by V‐Groove Confined Selective Epitaxy
Ge nanowires are promising for hole spin‐based quantum processors, requiring direct integration onto Si wafers. This work introduces V‐groove‐confined selective epitaxy for in‐plane nanowire growth on Si. Structural and low‐temperature transport measurements confirm their high crystalline quality, gate‐tunable hole densities, and mobility.

Cage‐size effects on the encapsulation of P2 by fullerenes
Strategies to stabilize P2 avoiding its own dimerization involve transition metals and Lewis bases. Here, we show that the judicious selection of a fullerene size yields a stable endohedral with an intact triple bond. The thermodynamic, geometrical, and interaction consequences are discussed in light of DFT calculations.

Catalan Nationalism and Challenges to the Territorial Integrity of Spain
At the beginning of the 21st century Spain faced a number of challenges, primarily the growth of separatist sentiments in the regions fraught with the danger of its fragmentation on ethno-national basis.

Residual long-range pseudoscalar forces between unpolarised macroscopic bodies [PDF]
In this paper we survey the effects of residual long-range forces associated to $\gamma_5$-spin dependent-couplings of fermions to massless bosons exerted by unpolarised bulk matter over macroscopic distances. We establish that such forces with behaviour proportional to $R^{-6}$ do indeed exist.

Nanocrystalline thin‐films of lanthanum chromite exhibit extraordinary properties of fast oxygen kinetics. These properties are due to the peculiar chemistry of grain boundaries and can be harnessed for fabricating symmetric electrochemical devices with self‐healing properties. Abstract While grain boundary engineering is attracting great interest as a

Self‐assembled monolayers (SAMs) as hole‐selective injecting contacts in CsPbBr₃ nanocrystal‐based PeLEDs demonstrate improved performance over PEDOT:PSS. Optimized SAM deposition techniques enable enhanced charge injection, resulting in PeLEDs with external quantum efficiencies (EQEs) up to 6.8% and increase of the operational stability.

The Catalan crisis 2012-2017: political, institutional and ethnopolitical aspects
The relevance of the study: attempts to secede of Catalonia from Spain in 2012–2017 are a characteristic manifestation of the crisis of the national states in the context of globalization.
