Kinetically‐Enhanced Gradient Modulator Layer Enables Wide‐Temperature Ultralong‐Life All‐Solid‐State Lithium‐Sulfur Batteries

This manuscript describes the discovery of a kinetically‐enhanced gradient modulator layer (KEGML) by potential modulation, to unlock the full electrochemical potential of ASSLSBs and an eightfold increase in ionic transport capability after 200 cycles.

Engineering Peripheral Metal‐Oxide Catalysis: Interparticle Spacing in Cu/ZrO2 Catalysts for Methanol Synthesis by CO2 Hydrogenation

The catalytically active periphery around oxide‐supported metal nanoparticles is key in reactions featuring marked metal‐oxide promotional effects. For Cu/ZrO2 CO2 hydrogenation catalysts, a Cu interparticle spacing of ∼15 nm optimizes methanol production rate and selectivity.

Tungsten Carbide Nanoparticles Embedded in Carbon Nanofoam Composites for Efficient Electrocatalytic Hydrogen Evolution

A tungsten carbide nanoparticles/carbon nanofoam composite is presented as an efficient electrocatalysts towards hydrogen evolution reaction. The simultaneous ablation of tungsten and carbide via pulsed laser deposition results in homogeneous and dense dispersion of tungsten carbide particles in the carbon matrix.

Selective Electrochemical Production of Ethylene from Bicarbonate Solution

We report direct electroreduction of bicarbonate to C2+ products using Cu mesh catalysts. The effect of mesh thickness, pore size, catholyte composition, and thermal treatment was systematically studied.
