The 2008 Election: A Preregistered Replication Analysis
We present an increasingly stringent set of replications, a multilevel regression and poststratification analysis of polls from the 2008 U.S. presidential election campaign, focusing on a set of plots showing the estimated Republican vote share for ...

Xylene isomerization over zeolite catalysts [PDF]
Paraxylene is used as a raw material for the production of the synthetic fibers. The production of paraxylene can be obtained by isomerization of xylene using zeolites as catalyst. At equilibrium, the mixture of xylene contains 24% para, 24% ortho and 52%

In this work, a magnetic core‐shell catalyst (HOF‐on‐Fe3O4/ZIF‐67) is successfully synthesized, consisting of a metal–organic framework (ZIF‐67) with magnetic Fe3O4 as the core and a porous hydrogen‐bonded organic framework (HOF) as the shell. The catalyst efficiently activated peroxymonosulfate, resulting in rapid and effective removal of water ...

A novel phthalocyanine (PC)‐based metal–organic framework (MOFs) is synthesized using ditopic PC linkers obtained through regioselective statistical condensation. The resulting MOF exhibits significant improvements in electronic absorption, thereby enhancing the material's performance in light harvesting and energy conversion.

Catalyst Acceleration for First-order Convex Optimization: from Theory to Practice
We introduce a generic scheme for accelerating gradient-based optimization methods in the sense of Nesterov. The approach, called Catalyst, builds upon the inexact accelerated proximal point algorithm for minimizing a convex objective function, and ...

The layer‐by‐layer (LbL) assembly of coordination solids, enabled by the surface‐mounted metal‐organic framework (SURMOF) platform, is on the cusp of generating the organic counterpart of the epitaxy of inorganics. The programmable and sequential SURMOF protocol, optimized by machine learning (ML), is suited for accessing high‐quality thin films of ...

HKUST‐1/TiO2 composite materials show a very high photocatalytic hydrogen evolution rate which increases as a function of the irradiation time until reaching a plateau and even surpasses the performance of the 1%Pt/TiO2 material after three photocatalytic cycles.

On the deactivation of Zr-loading P-containing mesoporous carbon catalyst during methanol dehydration [PDF]
Dimethyl ether (DME) has received much attention in the last few years due to its potential use as a diesel substitute and it can be obtained from dehydration of biomass-based methanol. γ-Alumina, ZSM-5 and HPAs were tested as catalysts.
