Combined Strategies Enable Highly Selective Light Olefins and para-Xylene Production on Single Catalyst Bed.

Journal of the American Chemical Society
Achieving multiple high-value-added chemical production through novel reaction processes and shape-selective catalytic strategy is the key to realizing efficient low-carbon catalytic processes.

Dusting in the space above the bed in converters with a fluidized catalyst bed

Chemistry and Technology of Fuels and Oils, 1968
1. A calculating equation (1) is proposed for determining dusting in the space above the bed in fluidized bed apparatus. Experimental measurements of the dusting were made and, using these measurements, values were found for the constant quantities entering into this equation. 2.

Catalysts in the Fluidized Bed and in the Freeboard of a Biomass Gasifier

2010
Continuous catalytic steam gasification runs have been performed using a bubbling fluidized bed gasi.er with an internal diameter of 0.10 m, in a temperature range of 800 – 830°C. The biomass feedstock consists of crushed almond shells, with an average particle Sauter diameter of 1054 .m.

Enhancing the production of light olefins and aromatics from catalytic fast pyrolysis of cellulose in a dual-catalyst fixed bed reactor.

Bioresource Technology, 2019
In this study, the effects of a macroporous catalyst (CaO), mesoporous catalyst (MCM-41), and microporous catalysts (ZSM-5 and SAPO-34) on the production of light olefins and aromatics from cellulose catalytic fast pyrolysis were investigated in a dual ...

Sulfiding of nickel catalyst beds

Journal of Catalysis, 1971
Abstract A moving coil permeameter has been used to confirm that sulfided nickel catalyst beds obey the Bohart-Adams poisoning wave equation. Poisoning by H2S at low velocities ( 300 °C); CS2 and (C2H5)2S are mass transfer controlled up to 300 °C. Thiophene is adsorption limited.

Syngas conditioning by ceramic filter candles filled with catalyst pellets and placed inside the freeboard of a fluidized bed steam gasifier

Fuel processing technology, 2019
Gasification is a very advantageous conversion process to obtain a fuel gas from organic wastes, however it also generates by-products, such as particulate and tar.

Catalyst attrition in fluidized‐bed systems

AIChE Journal, 1999
AbstractCatalyst attrition has often been a major obstacle in the development of new fluidized‐bed processes and it is still of concern for existing processes whenever the catalyst is changed. The main consequence of attrition is the generation of fines and the resulting loss of valuable material.

Hydrodynamics of catalyst in conical spouted beds

Catalysis Today, 2009
Abstract The applicability of conical spouted bed reactors for the thermal catalytic treatment of wastes has been determined by means of a hydrodynamic study with catalyst solids (fine particles) in different experimental conditions. The ranges of the geometric factors of the conical contactor and of the contactor–particle system for stable operating
