Enhancement of Cobalt Catalyst performance and Stability in Fischer-Tropsch Synthesis Using Graphene Nanosheets as Catalyst Support [PDF]

open access: yesشیمی کاربردی روز, 2016
Graphene nano sheets (GNS) supported cobalt catalyst, is introduced for Fischer-Tropsch synthesis (FTS). The catalyst was prepared using wet impregnation method with cobalt loading of 15.0 wt%.

Supported Catalysts for CO2 Methanation: A Review [PDF]

open access: yesCatalysts, 2017
CO2 methanation is a well-known reaction that is of interest as a capture and storage (CCS) process and as a renewable energy storage system based on a power-to-gas conversion process by substitute or synthetic natural gas (SNG) production. Integrating water electrolysis and CO2 methanation is a highly effective way to store energy produced by ...

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

The Effect Of Catalyst Support On The Decomposition Of Methane To Hydrogen And Carbon. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
Decomposition of methane into carbon and hydrogen over Cu/Ni supported catalysts was investigated. The catalytic activities and the lifetimes of the catalysts were studied. Cu/Ni supported on Ti02 showed high activity and long lifetime for the reaction.

Assisting effect of Al2O3 on MnOx for NO catalytic oxidation

open access: yesGreen Energy & Environment, 2021
Various Mn-based catalysts for NO oxidation were prepared using MnOx as active compound, while TiO2 and Al2O3 were adopted as catalyst support. The performance of the catalysts was tested to study the effect of support on Mn-based catalyst activity ...

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.
