MOF‐Derived Cu‐TiO2/Alginate Micromotors for Buoyancy‐Regulated 3D Motion

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this work, cyanobacteria‐inspired sodium alginate (SA)/Cu‐TiO2/Fe3O4 hydrogel micromotors generate and encapsulate O2 microvesicles upon light irradiation, enabling buoyancy‐mediated Z‐axis upward migration and surface enrichment at the light‐exposed water‐air surface.

High‐Current‐Density Acidic CO2 Electroreduction to Formic Acid Enabled by Multiscale Microenvironment Regulation Over Defect‐Rich Sn/SnOx

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Acidic CO2 electroreduction to formic acid is enabled by integrating mixed Sn/SnOx nanoclusters, K+‐regulated interfacial solvation, and Janus wettability. Coordinated control of active sites, interfacial water, and gas‐liquid transport suppresses hydrogen evolution and delivers approximately 85% HCOOH Faradaic efficiency at 400 mA cm−2.

Electro‐Organic Synthesis at a Stable Oil/Water/Solid Three‐Phase Interface Reactor

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
A porous membrane electrode (PME) reactor is developed to promote oil/water/solid three‐phase interfacial contact for electro‐organic synthesis. By promoting the formation of an oil/water interfacial region within or near an amphiphilic catalytic layer, the reactor enables efficient conversion of water‐insoluble organic reactants in aqueous ...

A Non-Permselective Membrane Reactor for the Selective Catalytic Reduction of NOx with Ammonia

open access: yes, 1991
A novel type of reactor is developed for the catalytic reduction of NOx with NH3. In this reactor a porous membrane is noted to keep the reactants separated from each other and to carry out the reaction in a controlled way inside the membrane.

Synthetic Shewanella‐Bacillus Microbial Consortia for Enhanced Metal Oxide Leaching From Spent Lithium‐Ion Batteries Using Brewing Wastewater as Leaching Agent

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A recycling approach of spent lithium‐ion batteries is developed using brewing wastewater as the leaching agent and an engineering microbial consortium as the biocatalyst. Shewanella oneidensis reduces spent LiNixCoyMn1‐x‐yO2 cathodes via extracellular electron transfer, while Bacillus subtilis removes residual ethanol to eliminate inhibition.

Modulating Covalent Organic Framework Nanochannel Microenvironments for Sustainable Hydrogen Peroxide Photosynthesis

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Alkoxy side chains regulate hydrazone‐linked COF nanochannel microenvironments by tuning pore polarity, reactant adsorption, and charge‐separation behavior. The optimized framework facilitates oxygen activation and hydrogen peroxide photosynthesis in real water and a 1 L natural‐sunlight reactor. LCA further shows that natural sunlight and larger‐scale

Advanced one-dimensional heterogeneous model for high temperature water gas shift membrane reactors

open access: yesInternational Journal of Renewable Energy Development
To predict the behavior of small-scale WGS membrane reactors, a new model based on the 1D heterogeneous approach was developed. Unlike most studies, which rely on 1D pseudo-homogeneous models—typically limited to reactors filled with small catalyst ...

Ammonification Process Is Limited by Transformation of Medium Molecular Weight Nitrogenous Organics but Not Hydrolysis of Proteins

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A multi‐level analytical framework, integrating protein‐level persistence analysis, nontargeted HRMS formula tracking, peptide‐level proteomics, and targeted monomer quantification under varying redox conditions, together with FMO calculations reveal that ammonification is limited by medium molecular weight nitrogenous multimers.
