Coupling catalytic ozonation and membrane separation: A review

open access: yes, 2019
International audienceOzonation is an efficient process for oxidation of organic pollutants. This process is effective but it can sometimes generate by-products more toxic than the initial micropollutants.

Temperature‐Dependent Kinetics of Plasma‐Based CO2 Conversion: Interplay of Electron‐Driven and Thermal‐Driven Chemistry

open access: yesChemSusChem, Volume 18, Issue 6, March 15, 2025.
The transformation of CO2 into chemical building blocks is essential for a net‐zero energy future. Plasma‐chemical processing offers promising potential to achieve this. Here, we explore a temperature‐dependent plasma‐chemical reaction mechanism, revealing a shift from electron‐driven to thermal‐driven CO2 conversion regimes.

Catalytic Ozonation of Norfloxacin Using Co-Mn/CeO2 as a Multi-Component Composite Catalyst

open access: yes, 2022
In this study, a Co-Mn/CeO2 composite was prepared through a facile sol-gel method and used as an efficient catalyst for the ozonation of norfloxacin (NOR). The Co-Mn/CeO2 composite was characterized via XRD, SEM, BET and XPS analysis.

Treatment of aqueous solutions of 1,4-dioxane by ozonation and catalytic ozonation with copper oxide (CuO) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
© 2018, © 2018 Informa UK Limited, trading as Taylor & Francis Group. In this study, treatment for the removal of 1,4-dioxane by ozone and by catalytic ozonation using CuO as the catalyst was investigated. While the removal of 1,4-dioxane was small (20%)

Enhanced catalytic ozonation inactivation of bioaerosols by MnO2/Ni foam with abundant oxygen vacancies and O3 at atmospheric concentration

open access: yes
Catalytic ozonation is a promising bioaerosol control technology, as O3 is prevalent in atmosphere. However, O3 at atmosphere concentration has limited oxidation potential and reactive oxygen species (ROSs) production, leading incomplete bioaerosol ...

Novel Zwitterionic Polydopamine Nanofiller‐Reinforced Hybrid Membranes With Superior Antifouling Performance for Wastewater Treatment

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
This work reports one‐pot synthesized novel zwitterionic polydopamine‐silica (ZSiPDA) nanofillers for fabricating PES hybrid ultrafiltration membranes with enhanced hydrophilicity, permeability, and antifouling performance. The optimized membrane achieved over 91% humic acid removal and showed strong potential for municipal wastewater treatment.
