Catalytic ozonation of reverse osmosis membrane concentrates by catalytic ozonation: Properties and mechanisms

Water Environment Research
AbstractNi‐Mn@KL ozone catalyst was prepared for the efficient treatment of reverse osmosis membrane concentrates. The working conditions and reaction mechanism of the ozone‐catalyzed oxidation by Ni‐Mn@KL were systematically studied. Then, a comprehensive CRITIC weighting–coupling coordination evaluation model was established.

Catalytic decomposition of ozone in air

Journal of Environmental Science and Health . Part A: Environmental Science and Engineering and Toxicology, 1997
Abstract The catalytic decomposition of ozone was investigated by using a tubular fixed‐bed reactor. The performance tests and reaction kinetic studies were conducted for two catalysts, i.e., MnO2 and Pt/γ ‐Al2O3 (symbolized as Dash‐220). The experiments were carried out at various constant reaction temperatures (288–338 K) and space velocities (24,000

Catalytic Ozonation of m-Dinitrobenzene

Ozone: Science & Engineering, 2005
The efficiency of catalytic ozonation with homogeneous (containing dissolved ions of Fe2+, Mn2+, Cu2+, Ni2+, Co2+, V5+, Cr3+, Mo6+) and heterogeneous (MnO2, Ni2O3, Fe2O3, CuO, Al2O3, CoO, V2O5, Cr2O3, MoO3, TiO2) catalysts and non-accompanied ozonation was compared for degradation of m-dinitrobenzene (m-DNB).

The investigation of catalytic ozonation and integrated catalytic ozonation/biological processes for the removal of phenol from saline wastewaters

Journal of Hazardous Materials, 2009
The effectiveness of the catalytic ozonation process (COP) with a GAC catalyst was assessed based on the degradation and COD removal of phenol from the saline wastewater, as compared with the single ozonation process (SOP). The COP attained a much higher level of phenol degradation compared to the SOP.

Non-catalytic and catalytic ozonation of simple halohydrins in water

Journal of Environmental Chemical Engineering, 2019
Abstract This study compares degradation of two hazardous halohydrins, namely 2,3-dibromopropan-1-ol (2,3-DBP) and 1,3-dichloro-2-propanol (1,3-DCP) by non-catalytic ozonation in acidic, neutral and basic water and catalytic ozonation with Co loaded on Fe prepared by (i) co-precipitation (Co-ppt) and (ii) a simple physical mixing (Mixed) method.

Study on Catalyst for Catalytic Ozonation to Leachate and Catalytic Process

Advanced Materials Research, 2014
Five kinds of catalyst were prepared with Chromium, cadmium, cobalt, copper, nickel loading on the γ–Al2O3. Catalyst loading rate, effects to the ozone suction rates and water quality change situation of catalytic ozonation to leachate were studied. It can be found that when the mO3/mCOD equaled 0.11, 0.15 and 0.26 separately, and mCatalyst/mCOD fixed ...

Degradation of Malathion and Parathion by Ozonation, Photolytic Ozonation, and Heterogeneous Catalytic Ozonation Processes

CLEAN – Soil, Air, Water, 2011
AbstractThe oxidation of organophosphorus pesticides (OPPs), such as malathion and parathion, in aqueous solution was studied using conventional ozonation (O3), photolytic ozonation (O3/UV, O3/UV/H2O2), and heterogeneous catalytic ozonation (O3/TiO2/UV) processes.

MINERALIZATION OF SALICYLIC ACID IN WATER BY CATALYTIC OZONATION

Environmental Engineering and Management Journal, 2016
The influence of key process parameters of homogenous catalytic ozonation using ferrous or manganese catalysts on the mineralization rate of salicylic acid (SA), model pharmaceutical pollutant, in water was investigated. In order to assess the combined influence and interactions of studied process parameters as well, the empirical/statistical approach ...
