Fluidised bed pyrolysis and catalytic pyrolysis of scrap tyres
Environmental Technology, 2003Pyrolysis of scrap tyres was undertaken in a semi-continuous fluidised bed reactor in relation to the temperature of the fluidised bed. Subsequently, a fixed bed of Zeolite catalyst was placed in the freeboard of the reactor. The catalyst temperature was held constant at 500 degrees C and the influence of the temperature of the fluidised bed over the ...

Catalytic Pyrolysis of Methane
Journal of the Chinese Chemical Society, 1982AbstractMethane decomposition over metal oxides/SiO2 surface was investigated. At 1400 K obtained product distribution of this decomposition varied with metal oxide used. The effectiveness of these catalysts has been discussed in terms of activity and C2 selectivity.

Catalytic pyrolysis—gas chromatography
Journal of Analytical and Applied Pyrolysis, 1995A new technique which allows the rapid catalytic testing of a small amount of solid (3–10 mg) has been developed and tested on standard ethylbenzene dealkylation and disproportion reactions in mid-pore zeolites. It consists of an adaptation of a commercial pyrolyser, to function as a fixed bed catalytic reactor, connected on line to a gas chromatograph.

Catalytic pyrolysis of polyethylene
Journal of Analytical and Applied Pyrolysis, 2002Abstract The influence of zeolite catalytic upgrading of the pyrolysis gases derived from the pyrolysis of polyethylene has been investigated. The yield and composition of the derived hydrocarbon gases and oils have been investigated in terms of the temperature of the catalyst. Polyethylene was pyrolysed in a fixed bed reactor and the pyrolysis gases

CATALYTIC AND NON-CATALYTIC PYROLYSIS OF BIOLOGICALLY TREATED MANURE
Environmental Engineering and Management Journal, 2015The utilization of manure for waste-to-bioenergy conversion processes may be a sustainable development choice rather than its traditional use as a fertilizer. Furthermore, the valorization of manure via thermochemical conversion routes and their integration with biological processes can provide an additional pathway in the utilization of residual ...

Study on Brown Coal Pyrolysis and Catalytic Pyrolysis
Advanced Materials Research, 2011It is very important to the combustion processes of coal pyrolysis, so the catalytic effects of alkali, alkaline earth and transition metal on the brown coal (Yunnan,China) were investigated with a thermogravimetric analysis. These results show that the active pyrolysis orders are Mg>Ni,Fe>Na,K>Al2O3>CaO, and the maximal increment of ...
