The biochemical findings during the dialysis treatment showed severe hypocalcemic episodes. A hypothetical mechanism to explain this kind of cataract is mentioned.

Atopic cataracts versus steroid cataracts

Malpractice litigation was brought about because the patient alleged that he had steroid cataracts, which resulted from his having received systemic corticosteroids. Data are presented to show that atopic cataracts and corticosteroids.
