Trabecular micro‐bypass stent implantation with cataract extraction in pigmentary glaucoma

Clinical and Experimental Ophthalmology, 2019
Use of the trabecular micro‐bypass stent with cataract surgery is well established to be safe and effective in primary open‐angle glaucoma. This is the first study to exclusively evaluate use of the device in pigmentary glaucoma.

Cataract Detection Using Convolutional Neural Network with VGG-19 Model

2021 IEEE World AI IoT Congress (AIIoT), 2021
Cataract is one of the prevalent causes of visual impairment and blindness worldwide. There is around 50% of overall blindness. Therefore, an early detection and prevention of cataract may reduce the visual impairment and the blindness.

Effect of cataract extraction on the visual field decay rate in patients with glaucoma.

JAMA ophthalmology, 2014
IMPORTANCE A visual field parameter that is resistant to cataract formation and extraction would help monitor glaucomatous visual field progression in patients with coexisting glaucoma and cataract.

CATARACT EXTRACTION IN THE ‘NINETIES’

Acta Ophthalmologica, 1983
A total of 55 cataract extractions were performed on 53 patients aged 90 years or more in the period 1972 to 1982. Assessment of the outcome was based on data from hospital records and on questionnaires to the patient's ophthalmologist and general practitioner. Cataract surgery had improved visual acuity in 42 patients.

Cataract Extraction in Glaucoma

American Journal of Ophthalmology, 1979
Cyclodialysis lens extraction or cyclodialysis canalicular trabeculectomy lens extraction in one eye and cataract extraction in the fellow eye were performed in 24 glaucoma patients. The combined procedure follow-up was from five to 12 years in the first group, two to four years in the second group, and from three to ten years in the control group. The

Histology of Cataract Extractions

Archives of Ophthalmology, 1970
Collagen deposition in healing stromal wounds under limbus-based flaps was studied in nine human eyes obtained postmortem from 1 to 46 days after senile cataract extraction. Collagen was present under the flap in the five day specimen, but was not seen bridging the stromal wound except in specimens 15 days or longer after surgery.

EXTRACTION OF CATARACTS

Archives of Ophthalmology, 1934
In the First Ophthalmologic Clinic of the University of Budapest, of which I am director, 14,000 operations for senile cataract have been performed in the last thirty years, 10,000 of which were done by me. Taking into consideration my previous experience gained while serving as instructor and assistant professor in the same clinic the approximate ...
