This work presents a versatile strategy for asymmetrically decorating MoS2 flakes using SiO2 microspheres as masking templates. The Janus MoS2 exhibits a 1.9‐fold enhancement in photoluminescence (PL) due to the incorporation of Au nanoparticles (NPs), primarily dominated by B exciton emission, which is attributed to defect‐rich structures.

Herein, the topochemical transformation of cobalt‐based layered hydroxides into nanocomposites is investigated using advanced real‐time characterization techniques combined with thermogravimetric analysis. The study reveals how interlayer carboxylic acids direct the transformation pathway, highlighting the role of carbon content and anion length. These

Whipped and Mixed Warm Clouds in the Deep Sea
Abstract Turbulence is indispensable to redistribute nutrients for all life forms larger than microbial, on land and in the ocean. Yet, the development of deep‐sea turbulence was not studied in three dimensions to date. As a disproportionate laboratory, an array of nearly 3,000 high‐resolution temperature sensors had been installed for three years on ...

Structural Control of Photoconductivity in a Flexible Titanium‐Organic Framework
The concept of flexibility is extended to titanium frameworks and use it to gain control over charge transport. MUV‐35 is a flexible doubly interpenetrated framework that can shrink spontaneously its volume by ≈40% to afford a photoconductive, porous state that is thermodynamically favored by non‐covalent interactions. Abstract The soft nature of Metal‐

Atomic Scale Visualization of Vibrational Modes in Armchair Graphene Nanoribbon
To visualize the vibrational modes of armchair graphene nanoribbons and verify theories, a functionalized scanning tunneling tip is used to enhance the inelastic tunneling channel over the elastic one. Results show that edge phonons are localized than bulk phonons with little influence from substrate interactions.

Room Temperature Spin‐Dependent Transport in 2D Hofmann‐Type Single‐Layer Network
Room‐temperature magnetoresistance effect in a 2D magnetic Hofmann‐type network has been found using break junction scanning tunneling microscopy technique. A [Pt(CN)4Co]x system is grown on a gold substrate using 4‐mercaptopyridine ligands as anchoring ligands with a magnetic nickel tip. The reversal of the tip magnetization results in the shutdown of
