Critique and System: Early and Late Natorp’s Philosophy

open access: yesRUDN Journal of Philosophy
This paper presents an interpretation of the connection between Natorp’s early and late philosophy. An analysis of two versions of Natorp’s deduction of categories shows the consistent development of Natorp’s thought.

Resonance category

open access: yesCommentarii Mathematici Helvetici, 2005
The main purpose of this paper is to introduce a new category, which we call a resonance category, whose combinatorics reflect that of canonical stratifications of n -fold symmetric smash products.

Incidence categories

open access: yesJournal of Pure and Applied Algebra, 2011
Given a family $\F$ of posets closed under disjoint unions and the operation of taking convex subposets, we construct a category $\C_{\F}$ called the \emph{incidence category of $\F$}. This category is "nearly abelian" in the sense that all morphisms have kernels/cokernels, and possesses a symmetric monoidal structure akin to direct sum.

Cocycle Categories

open access: yes, 2009
A cocycle category H(X,Y) is defined for objects X and Y in a model category, and it is shown that the set of morphisms [X,Y] is isomorphic to the set of path components of H(X,Y) provided the ambient model category is right proper and satisfies the extra condition that weak equivalences are closed under finite products.
