Effect of Catheter Ablation vs Medical Therapy on Quality of Life Among Patients With Atrial Fibrillation: The CABANA Randomized Clinical Trial

open access: yesJournal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), 2019
Importance Catheter ablation is more effective than drug therapy in restoring sinus rhythm in patients with atrial fibrillation (AF), but its incremental effect on long-term quality of life (QOL) is uncertain.

Catheter Ablation of Atrial Fibrillation: State of the Art and Future Perspectives

open access: yesCardiology and Therapy, 2020
Purpose of Review Atrial fibrillation (AF), the most common sustained arrhythmia, is associated with high rates of morbidity and mortality. Maintenance of stable sinus rhythm (SR) is the intended treatment target in symptomatic patients, and catheter ...

The combination of electroanatomic mapping and minielectrodes in a series of cases of redo procedures

open access: yesIndian Heart Journal, 2018
Background: In patients with supraventricular tachycardia, catheter ablation is an important treatment option. However, approximately one quarter of these patients remain symptomatic, so sustainable strategies for the treatment of those patients who do ...

Catheter ablation vs. thoracoscopic surgical ablation in long-standing persistent atrial fibrillation: CASA-AF randomized controlled trial

open access: yesEuropean Heart Journal, 2020
Aims  Long-standing persistent atrial fibrillation (LSPAF) is challenging to treat with suboptimal catheter ablation (CA) outcomes. Thoracoscopic surgical ablation (SA) has shown promising efficacy in atrial fibrillation (AF). This multicentre randomized

2019 HRS/EHRA/APHRS/LAHRS expert consensus statement on catheter ablation of ventricular arrhythmias.

open access: yesEuropace, 2019
Ventricular arrhythmias are an important cause of morbidity and mortality and come in a variety of forms, from single premature ventricular complexes to sustained ventricular tachycardia and fibrillation. Rapid developments have taken place over the past

Relationship between Epicardial Fat Accumulation and Left Atrial Reverse Remodeling after Catheter Ablation of Atrial Fibrillation

open access: yes대한영상의학회지, 2019
Purpose To demonstrate the relationship between epicardial fat accumulation and left atrial reverse remodeling by cardiac multi-detector CT (MDCT) after catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation (AF). Materials and Methods Seventy-six patients underwent

Shared Decision Making and Cardioneuroablation Allow Discontinuation of Permanent Pacing in Patients with Vagally Mediated Bradycardia

open access: yesJournal of Cardiovascular Development and Disease, 2023
Background: Safe discontinuation of pacemaker therapy for vagally mediated bradycardia is a dilemma. The aim of the study was to present the outcomes of a proposed diagnostic and therapeutic process aimed at discontinuing or not restoring pacemaker ...

In vitro properties of patient serum predict clinical outcome after high dose rate brachytherapy of hepatocellular carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Following high dose rate brachytherapy (HDR‐BT) for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), patients were classified as responders and nonresponders. Post‐therapy serum induced increased BrdU incorporation and Cyclin E expression of Huh7 and HepG2 cells in nonresponders, but decreased levels in responders.
