Memristor‐Driven Active‐Matrix Organic Light‐Emitting Diode for Energy Efficient and High‐Resolution Displays

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that memristors can replace conventional 2T–1C driving circuits with simplified 1T–1 m architectures by exploiting resistance switching. With ultra‐low switching voltages (< ±0.2 V) and multi‐level resistance states, the memristors precisely control the current injected into organic light‐emitting diodes (OLEDs).

Polymer Interface Enables Reversible Quasi‐Solid Sulfur Conversion in Sodium‐Sulfur Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The polymer interface enables a stable quasi‐solid sulfur conversion pathway in room‐temperature Na─S batteries. The coating regulates Na+ transport, stabilizes the cathode–electrolyte interphase, and accommodates mechanical stress, suppressing electrolyte decomposition and sulfur migration, thereby improving reaction uniformity, reducing polarization,

Oligomerized imide and thioimide organic cathode materials via a H-transfer mechanism for high capacity lithium ion batteries

open access: yes, 2021
Organic cathode materials (OCMs), synthesized from abundant and renewable resources, could be the most promising cathode materials for next-generation high capacity lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) due to their inherent advantages of high specific capacity ...

Dynamic Proton Activity Regulation via Brønsted Bases Enables Durable and High‐Energy‐Density Zn||MnO2 Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 48, 15 June 2026.
Our study demonstrates Brønsted base‐mediated proton transfer for HOAc dissociation regulation in weakly acidic electrolytes, where imidazole achieves optimal dynamic proton equilibrium‐simultaneously stabilizing Zn anodes and enabling efficient Mn2+/MnO2 conversion.

Formation of Quasi‐Decoupling Interface on Li‐Metal Anodes in High Donor Electrolyte

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 48, 15 June 2026.
Li‐metal anode (LMA) is stabilized by introducing Li2Te2 as an electrolyte additive for Li‐metal batteries. Upon contact with Li, Li2Te2 spontaneously converts to Li2Te, which electronically isolates Li from dimethyl sulfoxide due to its large bandgap and minimal Bader charge transfer.

The development of alternative cathodes for high temperature solid oxide electrolysis cells

open access: yes, 2015
This study mainly explores the development of alternative cathode materials for the electrochemical reduction of CO₂ by high temperature solid oxide electrolysis cells (HTSOECs), which operate in the reverse manner of solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs).

Chromium Interactions with Cathode Materials

open access: yesECS Proceedings Volumes, 2005
Chromium poisoning of cathodes has been reported by several groups developing solid oxide fuel cells (SOPCs) with metallic bipolar plates. Typically, chromium is presumed to migrate from the bipolar plates into the cathode via a volatile oxyhydroxide species.

Solvent Co‐Intercalation Enabled Ca Storage in MoS2 for Ca‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Regulating electrolyte solvation levels enables otherwise non‐intercalatable Ca2+ ions to reversibly co‐intercalate into molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) as ether‐solvated species. The intercalation reversibility is strongly governed by solvent chain length, as demonstrated using diethylene glycol dimethyl ether (G2) and tetraethylene glycol dimethyl ether (
