Mixed polyoxyanion cathode materials

Energy Storage Materials, 2021
Abstract The discovery of new chemistries superior to modern lithium intercalation cathodes is of great scientific and technological importance. The cathodes play a key role in the performance of lithium-ion batteries (LIB). While layered oxide cathodes deliver high capacity, polyanion compounds show structural stability, operational safety, tunable ...

Graphite as a cathode material

Journal of Electroanalytical Chemistry and Interfacial Electrochemistry, 1979
Abstract Reduction of phosphonium and sulphonium salts in aprotic medium containing tetraalkylammonium salts is accompanied by an inhibition, which in the competition between the cleavage of the onium salt and the charging of the graphite electrode represses the reduction of the onium salt. The inhibition is dependent on several parameters, e.g., the

A Novel Cathode Material for Cathodic Dehalogenation of 1,1‐Dibromo Cyclopropane Derivatives

Chemistry – A European Journal, 2015
AbstractLeaded bronze turned out to be an excellent cathode material for the dehalogenation reaction of cyclopropanes without affecting the strained molecular entity. With this particular alloy, beneficial properties of lead cathodes are conserved, whereas the corrosion of cathode is efficiently suppressed.

Cathode materials for La0.995Ca0.005NbO4

2011
The study presents the chemical and mechanical compatibility of the proton conducting electrolyte La0.995Ca0.005NbO4 (LCNO) with the LSM, LSCM and BSCF cathodes and the electrochemical performance of symmetrical cells based on LCNO. After annealing at high temperature the electrolyte-cathode mixtures in air and wet air, the obtained products were ...

New material for flashlamp cathodes

Powder Metallurgy, 2005
AbstractIt has recently been shown that porous tungsten can be sintered at much lower temperatures (T 2000°C). This was achieved by the addition of a small amount of aluminium to tungsten at the powder preparation stage. As a result, homogeneous microstructures with uniform porosity distributions were obtained.

LiFePO4 as a Cathode Material

The lower toxicity, affordable synthesis, and high cyclability make LiFePO4 (LFP) a promising material that has attracted considerable interest in Li-ion batteries (LIBs). These characteristics with high theoretical capacity ∼170 mA h g−1 make it the ideal cathode material, with a possibility of ultrafast charging/discharging.

Olivine-Based Cathode Materials

2015
The lithium insertion compounds built with polyanionic groups such as (SO4)2−,(PO4)3−, (P2O7)4−, (MoO4)2− or (WO4)2− are considered as potential positiveelectrode materials for use in lithium rechargeable batteries [1, 2]. Yet in thisfamily, olivine phosphate and Nasicon-like frameworks are currently the subject ofmany investigations.
