Anisotropic hydrogen embrittlement behavior of hot-rolled A572 steel
In the present work, an investigation of the susceptibility to hydrogen embrittlement of a hot rolled ASTM A572 steel with a banded pearlite/ferrite microstructure was conducted, with the objective of elucidating the anisotropic mechanical behavior of ...

Mechanisms of Degradation in Li‐Ion Batteries Under Low Temperature Exposures
Low‐temperature exposures, or freeze‐thaw cycles, are observed to significantly accelerate the degradation of Li‐ion batteries. A combination of electrolyte phase separation and mechanochemical stress leads to reversible and irreversible performance losses.

Multifunctional solid polymer electrolyte (SPE) films integrating intrinsic self‐healing, mechanical stretchability, and dual photo‐ and pH‐responsive ionic conductivity are developed. Constructed from thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) and hydrogen‐bonded poly(thiourea triethylene glycol) (PTUEG3), these films form a dynamic supramolecular network ...

Modeling current density and SoC distribution of all-solid-state lithium-ion batteries
Researchers have conducted in-depth investigations into lithium-ion battery models. However, a notable limitation of existing models lies in the assumption of infinitely conductive current collectors, which compromises simulation accuracy.

Hydrogen-assisted fatigue crack growth in ferritic steels – a fractographic study
Fatigue crack growth (FCG) behavior of a Fe-3wt.%Si ferritic alloy under different environmental conditions using in-situ electrochemical (cathodic) hydrogen (H) charging has been investigated. Three frequencies have been applied.

Interaction‐Driven Assembly Pathways in Heterogeneous Active Microrobotic Systems
Peanut‐ and cube‐shaped light‐powered microrobots exhibit distinct magnetic and photocatalytic responses that determine their heterogeneous self‐assembly. In the dark, magnetic dipole interactions drive colloidal copolymerization with cubes acting as nucleation centers, whereas under light irradiation, phoretic interactions compete with magnetic ...
