Engineered AuNPs/fMWCNT Nanocomposite Electrodes for High‐Sensitivity Methylglyoxal Sensing in Saliva and Sweat for Non‐Invasive Diabetes Monitoring

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
An AuNPs/fMWCNT nanocomposite‐modified screen‐printed carbon electrode was engineered via sequential electrodeposition and integrated into a 3D‐printed microfluidic platform for ultrasensitive methylglyoxal detection. The non‐invasive sensing platform enables rapid analysis in saliva and sweat, highlighting strong potential for wearable point‐of‐care ...

Cathodic Protection

open access: yesTransactions of The Electrochemical Society, 1942
If the corrosion is electrochemical, it may be concluded from this work that: 1. In order that protection may be complete, the potential of the cathode areas must be polarized to a potential equal to or more anodic than the open circuit potential of the anodes. 2.

ECorr: Cathodic Protection

open access: yes, 2010
This case study presents an investigation into the corrosion protection of a steel oil platform submerged in sea water. Cathodic protection is highlighted as the most economic and the implementation of a cathodic protection system is explored in detail.

POM‐Based Water Splitting Catalyst Under Acid Conditions Driven by Its Assembly on Carbon Nanotubes

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A newly‐engineered POM‐based electrocatalyst incorporating non‐innocent counter cations exhibits fast kinetics for either the OER or HER under strongly acidic conditions (1 m H2SO4), depending on whether it is assembled on carbon nanotubes (1@CNT) or physically mixed with them (1/CNT). In water‐splitting tests using a two‐electrode setup, these systems

SACRIFICIAL ANODE CATHODIC PROTECTION OF LOW CARBON STEEL IN SEA WATER

open access: yesJournal of Engineering, 2007
Cathodic protection is a corrosion-prevention technique which uses the electrochemical properties of metals to insure that the structure to be protected becomes the cathode of an electrolytic cell.

Transparent Perovskite Light‐Emitting Diodes with Conductive Oxide Top Electrodes

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Transparent perovskite light‐emitting diodes (TrPeLEDs) enable simultaneous display and transparency, expanding application possibilities. Using a metal oxide buffer layer and pulsed laser deposition, TrPeLEDs with diverse compositions and architectures are demonstrated.

Case Analysis of the Diagnosis and Mitigation of Internal and External Interference at a Typical Natural Gas Transmission Station with Combined Cathodic Protection [PDF]

open access: yesCailiao Baohu
A study was conducted to address the unresolved problem of excessively negative pipe/ soil potentials on the external pipeline after combined internal and external cathodic protection had been implemented at a certain natural gas transmission station ...

Laser‐Assisted Phase Engineering of 2D MoS2 for Efficient Solution‐Processed Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Here, local laser‐assisted phase transition from solution‐processed phase‐pure 1T′ to 2H MoS2 is shown to critically depend on the irradiation atmosphere. While processing in air leads to damaged insulating regions, inert conditions yield semiconducting 2H domains, enabling direct field‐effect transistor patterning with optimized lateral 1T′‐2H MoS2 ...
