Electrophilicities of Symmetrically Substituted 1,3-Diarylallyl Cations
The Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2011Kinetics of the reactions of nine symmetrically substituted 1,3-diarylallyl cations with different nucleophiles were studied photometrically in dichloromethane, acetonitrile, and DMSO solutions. The second-order rate constants k(2) were found to follow the correlation log k(2) = s(N)(N + E).

Cationic substitution in MgSiO3 perovskite
Physics of the Earth and Planetary Interiors, 2003Abstract Various MgSiO 3 -based compositions were used to investigate the possible cationic substitutions in Earth’s lower mantle perovskite at about 25 GPa and 1750 K, using a multi-anvil press apparatus. Recovered samples were characterized using X-ray diffraction and electron microprobe. Inserted in the silicate perovskite structure were found (i)

Selective Cation Exchange in Substituted Tobermorites
Journal of the American Ceramic Society, 1989Selective cation exchange in tobermorites with three levels of Al 3+ and Na + substitution for Si 4+ has been investigated. The cation exchange selectivity for a tobermorite with 2 mol% Al 3+

Anionic and cationic substitution in ZnO
Progress in Solid State Chemistry, 2009In this contribution we review the impact of anionic and cationic substitutions on the electronic properties of bulk ZnO crystals, thin films and ZnO powders. p-type doping is discussed with focus on the anionic substitution of oxygen by nitrogen or phosphorous. n-type doping is exemplarily reviewed for substitution of Zn by group III elements.

Al-substituted tobermorite: shows cation exchange
Cement and Concrete Research, 1982Abstract It has been found that the tobermorite family--fundamental to cement chemistry can exhibit base exchange behavior. Several Al-substituted tobermorites were synthesized and these 11A type tobermorites were discovered to have cation exchange as well as selective cation adsorption properties. For example, Al-substituted tobermorite (synthesized
