Sharp steps in magnetization, magnetoresistance and magnetostriction in Pr0.6Sr0.4Co1-yGayO3

open access: yes, 2020
We report the effect of Ga substitution on magnetization, magnetoresistance, and magnetostriction in polycrystalline Pr0.6Sr0.4Co1-yGayO3 (y=0.0-0.3) samples. Upon substitution of the non-magnetic Ga3+ cation for magnetic Co3+, the low-temperature ground

Transcriptional network analysis of PTEN‐protein‐deficient prostate tumors reveals robust stromal reprogramming and signs of senescent paracrine communication

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

4-(1H-2,3-Dihydronaphtho[1,8-de][1,3,2]diazaborinin-2-yl)-1-ethylpyridin-1-ium iodide monohydrate

open access: yesIUCrData
The cation of the title hydrated salt, C17H17BN3+·I−·H2O, is a diazaborinane featuring substitution at the 1, 2, and 3 positions in the nitrogen–boron six-membered heterocycle.

In-situ epitaxial growth of superconducting La-based bilayer cuprate thin films

open access: yes, 2003
We investigate the epitaxial growth of bilayer cuprate La2CaCu2O6+\delta using pure ozone as an oxidant, and find that even the crystal with parent composition without cation substitution can show metallic behavior with the aid of epitaxial strain effect.

Algorithmic Structuring of Cut-free Proofs [PDF]

open access: yes, 1993
The problem of algorithmic structuring of proofs in the sequent calculi LK and LKB ( LK where blocks of quantifiers can be introduced in one step) is investigated, where a distinction is made between linear proofs and proofs in tree form.

Monitoring of circulating tumor DNA allows early detection of disease relapse in patients with operable breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Monitoring circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) in patients with operable breast cancer can reveal disease relapse earlier than radiology in a subset of patients. The failure to detect ctDNA in some patients with recurrent disease suggests that ctDNA could serve as a supplement to other monitoring approaches.

Comparative DFT Study of K2AgSbBr6 and K2NaScBr6: Exploring the Role of BB Cation Substitution on Material Properties

open access: yesAtoms
The effects of cation substitution are the main emphasis of this investigation into the structural, mechanical, electronic, and optical properties of double perovskites K2AgSbBr6 and K2NaScBr6.

Correlation of the differential expression of PIK3R1 and its spliced variant, p55α, in pan‐cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PIK3R1 undergoes alternative splicing to generate the isoforms, p85α and p55α. By combining large patient datasets with laboratory experiments, we show that PIK3R1 spliced variants shape cancer behavior. While tumors lose the protective p85α isoform, p55α is overexpressed, changes linked to poorer survival and more pronounced in African American ...

New cation-exchange membranes for hyperfiltration processes [PDF]

open access: yes, 1977
A new route for the preparation of cation exchange membranes from polystyrene-polyisoprene-polystyrene (SIS) block copolymers has been studied, using N-chlorosulfonyl isocyanate.

RIPK4 function interferes with melanoma cell adhesion and metastasis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
RIPK4 promotes melanoma growth and spread. RIPK4 levels increase as skin lesions progress to melanoma. CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated deletion of RIPK4 causes melanoma cells to form less compact spheroids, reduces their migratory and invasive abilities and limits tumour growth and dissemination in mouse models.
