The flocculation of kaolin with polyacrylamides [PDF]

open access: yes, 1982
Flocculation occurs when high molecular mass organic molecules form bridges between particles, causing them to aggregate. This modifies the sedimentation properties of the mineral slurry.

Application of cellulosic nanofibers to replace with imported long- fiber pulps in paper made from bagasse [PDF]

open access: yesIranian Journal of Wood and Paper Industries, 2017
In this research, different additives of cellulose nanofibers, cationic starch and polyacrylamide to bagasse pulp and their impact on the handsheet strengths were investigated aiming to replace with imported long-fiber softwood pulp in Pars paper factory.

New cationic nanovesicular systems containing lysine-based surfactants for topical administration: Toxicity assessment using representative skin cell lines [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Many strategies for treating diseases require the delivery of drugs into the cell cytoplasm following internalization within endosomal vesicles. Thus, compounds triggered by low pH to disrupt membranes and release endosomal contents into the cytosol are ...

Simultaneous thermal analysis of cationic, nonionic and anionic polyacrylamide

open access: yesHeliyon, 2019
Polyacrylamide (PAM) and its derivatives are the most commercially available water-soluble polymers and are frequently used for the production of clay-polymer composites.

Preparation and performance of retention and drainage aid made of cationic spherical polyelectrolyte brushes

open access: yese-Polymers, 2022
Spherical polymer brushes were synthesized by grafting acrylamide from the surface of γ-methacryloxypropyl trimethoxy-silane-modified SiO2 nanoparticles. Then, cationic spherical polyacrylamide (CSPAM) brushes were obtained by a manniched polyacrylamide (

Compositional Analysis of Cationic Polyacrylamide Resins by Reactive Pyrolysis-Gas Chromatography in the Presence of Organic Alkali [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
Reactive pyrolysis-gas chromatography (Py-GC) in the presence of tetramethylammonium hydroxide (TMAH) was successfully applied to the compositional analysis of cationic polyacrylamide (PAAm) resins, prepared from acrylamide (AAm) and ...

Golgi enzymes are retrieved from the plasma membrane to the trans‐Golgi network

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Golgi enzymes are traditionally considered resident proteins retained within the Golgi apparatus. Here, we demonstrate that a subset transiently reaches the cell surface and is subsequently retrieved to the trans‐Golgi network via retrograde transport. Using a nanobody‐based toolkit, we uncover a dynamic trafficking cycle of several Golgi enzymes.

Enhancement of textile-dyeing sludge dewaterability using a novel cationic polyacrylamide: role of cationic block structures

open access: yes, 2017
A novel cationic polyacrylamide (CPAM) with a microblock structure was synthesized through ultrasonic-initiated template copolymerization (UTP) using allyltrimethylammonium chloride (TM) and acrylamide (AM) as monomers, and sodium polyacrylate (NaPAA) as

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Effect of Flocculation of Cationic Polyacrylamide on the Migration Rate of Suspended Particles

open access: yes, 2011
The effects of concentration of cationic polyacrylamide and pH-value on the migration rate of suspended particles have been measured by a Turbiscan Lab dispersion stability analyzer.
