A 9-mo-old, male domestic shorthair cat was presented for castration because of mounting behavior observed by the owner. On physical examination, the cat was bilaterally cryptorchid, but had penile spines. Abdominal exploration through a midline laparotomy revealed 2 pairs of masses.

Cat gastrinoma and the sequence of cat gastrins
Regulatory Peptides, 1992Following the curative resection of a pancreatic gastrinoma in a cat, gastrin peptides were purified from the tissue and sequenced. The sequence of cat gastrinoma G17 (18-34) confirms the previously published sequence. The sequence of cat G34 (1-34) is reported for the first time. The NH2-terminal portion of cat G34 differs from that of dog by having a

A 21-month-old spayed domestic shorthair cat was examined to determine the cause of a chronic fluctuant swelling involving the left hind limb. A lymphocele was tentatively diagnosed on the basis of results of blood tests, radiography, and cytologic examination. Lymphangiography revealed the lymphocele and 2 tortuous collateral lymphatic channels.

Abstract— —A sparganum is an intermediate stage of certain pseudophyllidean tapeworms and is normally found in various species of fish and small vertebrates. This paper presents an unusual case of sparganosis in a cat, normally considered a definitive host of several genera of Pseudophyllidea. The animal was anorectic and lethargic, and a palpable mass

The diagnosis of trombiculiasis in a cat was based on the presence of an orange, crusting dermatosis, and identification of 6-legged larvae in skin scrapings. The prevalence of the disease may be higher than suggested by the number of reports in the literature, and due to the lack of pruritus, often may be overlooked.

A 14‐year‐old domestic shorthair cat was presented with hypoglycaemia and seizures of several weeks duration. Bloodwork revealed hypoglycaemia (1·83 mmol/l; reference range 4·22‐8·05 mmol/l) with concurrent normal insulin levels (171 pmol/l; reference range 72‐583 pmol/l).
