This study shows that lizard osteoderm capping tissue is a hyper‐mineralized hydroxyapatite layer consistently covering the superficial osteoderm surface in those species studied here, yet it varies greatly in morphology, nanostructure, and mechanical performance across species.

The Impact of Heat Load on Cattle
Simple Summary It is well known that the thermal environment has an integral role in maintaining the health and productivity of cattle. Although cold stress has been identified to negatively influence cattle comfort and productivity, the predominant ...

A Novel Function of Nonadecanoic Acid in Regulating Glucose Homeostasis
This study identifies the odd‐chain fatty acid C19:0 as an endogenous ligand of GPR120 that promotes glucose homeostasis via Gαq signaling. In obesity, elevated palmitic acid suppresses endogenous C19:0 production through a miRNA–PPARα–HACL1 pathway, offering a promising direction for understanding the role of OCFAs in human health.

Paving the Way to Elucidate Hg's Role in Tumorigenesis
Tumorigenesis can result from diverse environmental carcinogens. Among them, mercury—a lifelong bioaccumulative Group 2B carcinogen—has tumorigenic potential that remains poorly understood due to confounding co‐exposures and limited organ‐specific data.

Plasma hormones and milk production performances in early lactation buffaloes supplemented with a mixture of prilled fat, sweetener and toxin binder [PDF]
The effect of combined feed supplements (prilled fat, sweetener and toxin binder) was studied on 24 apparently healthy early lactating rural and urban maintained Murrah buffaloes. The feeding of combined feed supplement was carried out for a period of 90

Prevalence of genetic diseases in Holstein crossbred (Frieswal) bulls in India
The present study was conducted to assess the prevalence of genetic diseases, viz. BLAD, DUMPS, BC and FXID in Frieswal (Sahiwal × HF) young bulls. We used the standard PCR-RFLP method to genotype animals for BLAD, DUMPS and BC while simple PCR was done

Comparative Single‐Cell Transcriptomic Atlas Reveals the Genetic Regulation of Reproductive Traits
A cross‐species single‐cell transcriptomic atlas of reproductive and central nervous system tissues from sheep and humans reveals conserved cellular programs and regulatory networks that regulated fertility. Integration with GWAS for sheep lifetime average litter size identifies UNC5–SLIT–BMP signaling as a core pathway coordinating neuroendocrine ...

Age and lactation specific disposal pattern in Sahiwal cattle and influence of various genetic and non-genetic factors [PDF]
Premature disposal of female calves before reaching milch herd and undesirable disposal of lactating cows are the major constraints in achieving larger herd size.
