Choquet Integrals With Respect to Non-Monotonic Set Functions [PDF]
This paper introduces the signed Choquet integral, i.e., a nonmonotonic generalization of the Choquet integral. Applications to welfare theory, multi-period optimization, and asset pricing are described.Choquet integral;comonotonicity;arbitrage;time ...

Alternation of must, have to, and need to in English as a lingua franca
Abstract This study explores the grammatical variability of modal auxiliary verbs in English as a lingua franca. Focusing on the ongoing change must, have to, and need to, this research utilizes two spoken corpora: the Vienna–Oxford International Corpus of English (VOICE) and the Asian Corpus of English (ACE).

Evolution PDEs and augmented eigenfunctions. I finite interval [PDF]
The so-called unified method expresses the solution of an initial-boundary value problem for an evolution PDE in the finite interval in terms of an integral in the complex Fourier (spectral) plane.

Abstract Dynamic resistance exercise (RE) produces sinusoidal fluctuations in blood pressure that are mirrored by middle cerebral artery blood velocity (MCAv). However, whether lower‐ or upper‐body RE elicits a differential cerebrovascular response has not yet been examined.

Intertemporal Constraints, Shadow Prices, and Financial Asset Values [PDF]
The conditions under which the unobserved shadow price of capital can be equated to the financial value of the firm have been developed in an important paper by Hayashi (1982).

Computational model of haemodynamics during atrial fibrillation
Abstract figure legend We developed a simplified computational model that replicates patient‐specific haemodynamics during both normal sinus rhythm and atrial fibrillation (AF). Our computational model comprises: (1) an electrical subsystem that generates unco‐ordinated atrial and irregular ventricular activation times characteristic of AF and (2) a ...

Degree theory for 4‐dimensional asymptotically conical gradient expanding solitons
Abstract We develop a new degree theory for 4‐dimensional, asymptotically conical gradient expanding solitons. Our theory implies the existence of gradient expanding solitons that are asymptotic to any given cone over S3$S^3$ with non‐negative scalar curvature. We also obtain a similar existence result for cones whose link is diffeomorphic to S3/Γ$S^3/\

Isoperimetric inequalities on slabs with applications to cubes and Gaussian slabs
Abstract We study isoperimetric inequalities on “slabs”, namely weighted Riemannian manifolds obtained as the product of the uniform measure on a finite length interval with a codimension‐one base. As our two main applications, we consider the case when the base is the flat torus R2/2Z2$\mathbb {R}^2 / 2 \mathbb {Z}^2$ and the standard Gaussian measure
