On characterization of the Cauchy law by sample mean properties
The characterization of Cauchy distribution by assuming the identical distribution of a monomial and sample mean has been considered by B. Ramachandran, C.R. Rao, Y.H. Wang and other authors.

Asymptotic properties of maximum likelihood estimator for some discrete distributions generated by
In large-scale biomolecular sysrems there are frequency distribuions with properties like Stable Laws. It is of interest to construct such frequency distributions. In the present article we consider Cauchy stable law. The large-sample distribution of the

Spherical matrix distributions and cauchy quotients [PDF]
It is shown that matrix quotients of submatrices of a spherical matrix are distributed as matrix Cauchy. This generalizes known results for scalar ratios of independent normal variates. The derivations are simple and make use of the theory of invariant measures on manifolds.

Adaptive Twisting Metamaterials
This work introduces torque‐controlled twisting metamaterials as a transformative platform for adaptive crashworthiness. By combining multiscale predictive modeling with experimental validation on additively manufactured gyroids, it demonstrates tunable stiffness, collapse stress, and energy absorption.

Amphiphilic copolymer coatings comprising sulfobetaine methacrylate (SBMA) and isobornyl methacrylate (IBMA) are reported, synthesized via SI‐ATRP, that resist biological fouling and sediment accumulation. The copolymer coating with an SBMA:IBMA feed molar ratio of 1:1 is optimal for reducing diatom adhesion and sediment adsorption.

Molybdenum hexafluoride as a pretreatment is able to create a chemical contrast between SiN and SiO2 surfaces via selective fluorine passivation of the oxide. One dose of MoF6 enabled 9.7 nm of selective deposited TiO2 on SiN versus SiO2 with selectivity >0.92 on a nanoscale SiN/SiO2 patterned surface.

The NSCT-HMT Model of Remote Sensing Image Based on Gaussian-Cauchy Mixture Distribution
The nonsubsampled Contourlet transform (NSCT) not only retains the characteristics of Contourlet transform, but also has the good characteristic of shift-invariance, which plays a significant role in denoising, fusion, and segmentation of texture-rich ...
