Applying Dynamics/Cost Parameter Continuation to the Optimal Guidance of Variable‐Speed Unicycle
(a) Classical parameter continuation method diverges. (b) Dynamics/cost parameter continuation method converges. ABSTRACT The problem of a variable‐speed unicycle guidance to the stationary target is considered. The vehicle should be guided to the origin while minimizing the energy loss due to the induced drag.

Representation Formula for Solutions of Eikonal Type Equations
Equations of an eikonal type ones arise in many areas of applications, including optics, fluid mechanics, material sciences, and control theory. This article investigates the representation formula for semiconcave solutions of the boundary problem for ...

Cauchy-Green type formulae in Clifford analysis [PDF]
A Cauchy integral formula is constructed for solutions to the polynomial Dirac equation(Dk+∑m=0k−1bmDm)f=0({D^k} + \sum \nolimits _{m = 0}^{k - 1} {{b_m}{D^m})f = 0}, where eachbm{b_m}is a complex number,DDis the Dirac operator inRn{R^n}, andffis defined on a domain inRn^{{R^n}}and takes values in a complex Clifford algebra.

Data assimilation with extremum Monte Carlo methods
This study presents the extremum Monte Carlo filter as a data assimilation method and, in particular, a variant of the variational approach (three‐ and four‐dimensional variational), where the state estimates are obtained by solving an optimization problem numerically over a space of prediction functions, instead of the state space itself.

We study certain generalized Cauchy integral formulas for gradients of solutions to second order divergence form elliptic systems, which appeared in recent work by P. Auscher and A. Ros n. These are constructed through functional calculus and are in general beyond the scope of singular integrals.

Loss Behavior in Supervised Learning With Entangled States
Entanglement in training samples supports quantum supervised learning algorithm in obtaining solutions of low generalization error. Using analytical as well as numerical methods, this work shows that the positive effect of entanglement on model after training has negative consequences for the trainability of the model itself, while showing the ...

ABSTRACT Achieving a simultaneous enhancement of strength and ductility remains a critical bottleneck for the large‐scale and cost‐effective engineering application of magnesium alloys. In this work, guided by first‐principles calculations, we tailored the τ‐Mg32(Al,Zn)49 phase and optimised twin boundary, thereby designing and successfully ...
