A boundary-value problem with shift for a hyperbolic equation degenerate in the interior of a region

open access: yesVestnik Samarskogo Gosudarstvennogo Tehničeskogo Universiteta. Seriâ: Fiziko-Matematičeskie Nauki, 2014
For a degenerate hyperbolic equation in characteristic region (lune) a boundary-value problem with operators of fractional integro-differentiation is studied.

"Empirical characteristic function approach to goodness-of-fit tests for the Cauchy distribution with parameters estimated by MLE or EISE" [PDF]

open access: yes
We consider goodness-of-fit tests of Cauchy distribution based on weighted integrals of the squared distance of the difference between the empirical characteristic function of the standardized data and the characteristic function of the standard Cauchy ...

A Geometrically Regularized Gradient‐Damage Model With Orthogonality‐Based Energy Split for Dynamic Anisotropic Compression‐Shear Fracture

open access: yesInternational Journal for Numerical and Analytical Methods in Geomechanics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study proposes a novel geometrically regularized gradient‐damage model for simulating dynamic mixed‐mode fracture in orthotropic materials with tension–compression asymmetry. In this model, a thermodynamic framework is formulated by incorporating damage dissipation into internal energy evolution, from which the constitutive relation and ...

SPDIEs and BSDEs Driven by Lévy Processes and Countable Brownian Motions

open access: yesJournal of Function Spaces, 2016
The paper is devoted to solving a new class of backward stochastic differential equations driven by Lévy process and countable Brownian motions. We prove the existence and uniqueness of the solutions to the backward stochastic differential equations by ...

The Cauchy Problem for System of Volterra Integral Equations Describing the Motion of a Finite Mass of a Self-gravitating Gas

open access: yesИзвестия Иркутского государственного университета: Серия "Математика", 2020
In this article we investigate the Cauchy problem for a system of nonlinear integro-differential equations of gas dynamics that describes the motion of a finite mass of a self-gravitating gas bounded by a free boundary.

String‐Stable Platooning Control of Connected Automated Vehicles Under Non‐Uniform Stochastic Communication Delays

open access: yesInternational Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper is concerned with the platooning control problem of connected automated vehicles (CAVs) under non‐uniform stochastic vehicle‐to‐vehicle (V2V) communication delays. Most existing relevant studies assume uniform or deterministic or slowly varying delays, or design platoon controllers based on worst‐case delay bounds, resulting in ...

Direct Cauchy theorem and Fourier integral in Widom domains [PDF]

open access: yesJournal d'Analyse Mathématique, 2020
We derive Fourier integral associated to the complex Martin function in the Denjoy domain of Widom type with the Direct Cauchy Theorem (DCT). As an application we study reflectionless Weyl-Titchmarsh functions in such domains, related to them canonical systems and transfer matrices.

Analytic capacity, rectifiability, menger curvature and the Cauchy integral [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
Based on a graduate course given by the author at Yale University this book deals with complex analysis (analytic capacity), geometric measure theory (rectifiable and uniformly rectifiable sets) and harmonic analysis (boundedness of singular integral ...

Neural‐Network‐Based Event‐Triggered Consensus Tracking for Nonlinear Heterogeneous Multi‐Agent Systems Against Denial‐of‐Service Attacks

open access: yesInternational Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This article proposes a distributed resilient control framework to ensure consensus tracking for nonlinear heterogeneous multi‐agent systems (NHMAS) under aperiodic denial‐of‐service (DoS) attacks. First, a resilient observer is introduced to estimate the leader's state considering that not all agents have direct access to the leader's ...

A new method for converting boundary value problems for impulsive fractional differential equations to integral equations and its applications

open access: yesAdvances in Nonlinear Analysis, 2017
In this paper, we present a new method for converting boundary value problems of impulsive fractional differential equations to integral equations. Applications of this method are given to solve some types of anti-periodic boundary value problems for ...
