On spectral question of the Cauchy-Riemann operator with homogeneous boundary value conditions

open access: yesҚарағанды университетінің хабаршысы. Математика сериясы, 2018
In this paper we consider the eigenvalue problem for the Cauchy - Riemann operator with homogeneous Dirichlet type boundary conditions. The statement of the problem is justified to the theorem of M. Otelbaev and A.N.

Total positivity of a Cauchy kernel

open access: yesJournal of Approximation Theory, 2014
We study the total positivity of the kernel $1/(x^2 + 2 \cos( \a)xy +y^2).$ The case of infinite order is characterized by an application of Schoenberg's theorem. We then give necessary conditions for the cases of any given finite order with the help of Chebyshev polynomials of the second kind. Sufficient conditions for the finite order cases are also

Tests of Exponential Stabilization Through Floquet Theory and Act‐And‐Wait Control

open access: yesMathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, Volume 49, Issue 4, Page 3303-3316, 15 March 2026.
ABSTRACT In this paper, we propose tests of exponential stability based on a version of the Floquet theory for delay differential equations of the first order. Our approach allows researchers to preserve the order of equation and to use the classical methods of the Floquet theory for ordinary differential equations.

The Master Integral Transform with Entire Kernels

open access: yesMathematics
We study an integral transform—here called the Master Integral Transform—in which the kernel is an arbitrary entire function of finite order. When the nonzero Taylor coefficients of the kernel have positive Beurling–Malliavin density, we prove ...

Distribution shifts in trustworthy machine learning

open access: yesAI Magazine, Volume 47, Issue 1, Spring 2026.
Abstract This article investigates the impact of distribution shifts in trustworthy machine learning. To this end, we start by summarizing fine‐grained types of distribution shifts commonly studied in machine learning communities. To tackle distribution shifts across domains, we present our research across various learning scenarios by enforcing ...

On the Fourier-Transformed Boltzmann Equation with Brownian Motion

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2015
We establish a global existence theorem, and uniqueness and stability of solutions of the Cauchy problem for the Fourier-transformed Fokker-Planck-Boltzmann equation with singular Maxwellian kernel, which may be viewed as a kinetic model for the ...

Hopfield Neural Networks for Online Constrained Parameter Estimation With Time‐Varying Dynamics and Disturbances

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, Volume 40, Issue 3, Page 544-564, March 2026.
This paper proposes two projector‐based Hopfield neural network (HNN) estimators for online, constrained parameter estimation under time‐varying data, additive disturbances, and slowly drifting physical parameters. The first is a constraint‐aware HNN that enforces linear equalities and inequalities (via slack neurons) and continuously tracks the ...

Bile acids are associated with baseline and longitudinal amyloid and tau pathology in patients with Alzheimer's disease

open access: yesAlzheimer's &Dementia, Volume 22, Issue 3, March 2026.
Abstract INTRODUCTION Alzheimer's disease (AD), a neurodegenerative disease, involves early alterations in the gut microbiota. Bile acids (BAs), which are metabolites produced by the microbiota, may impact brain function through the gut‐brain axis. METHODS By reference to multimodal datasets from the Chinese Preclinical Alzheimer's Disease Study (n ...

Characteristic Kernels and Infinitely Divisible Distributions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
We connect shift-invariant characteristic kernels to infinitely divisible distributions on $\mathbb{R}^{d}$. Characteristic kernels play an important role in machine learning applications with their kernel means to distinguish any two probability ...

Equivariant toric geometry and Euler–Maclaurin formulae

open access: yesCommunications on Pure and Applied Mathematics, Volume 79, Issue 3, Page 451-557, March 2026.
Abstract We first investigate torus‐equivariant motivic characteristic classes of toric varieties, and then apply them via the equivariant Riemann–Roch formalism to prove very general Euler–Maclaurin‐type formulae for full‐dimensional simple lattice polytopes.
