Statics of nonlocal stress driven graded material beam - cauchy distribution approach
Nonlocal elasticity theories are essential for modeling size-dependent mechanical behavior in micro- and nano-structured components, yet existing stress-driven formulations rely almost exclusively on rapidly decaying kernels such as the Helmholtz or ...

Although Dynamic Movement Primitives (DMP) is an effective tool for robotic arm trajectory generalisation, the application of DMP in the 3C (Computer, Communication, Consumer Electronics) industry still faces challenges such as low precision and high ...

Nonparametric Multivariate Density Estimation: Case Study of Cauchy Mixture Model
Estimation of probability density functions (pdf) is considered an essential part of statistical modelling. Heteroskedasticity and outliers are the problems that make data analysis harder. The Cauchy mixture model helps us to cover both of them.

The Huang–Yang Formula for the Low‐Density Fermi Gas: Upper Bound
ABSTRACT We study the ground state energy of a gas of spin 1/2$1/2$ fermions with repulsive short‐range interactions. We derive an upper bound that agrees, at low density ϱ$\varrho$, with the Huang–Yang conjecture. The latter captures the first three terms in an asymptotic low‐density expansion, and in particular the Huang–Yang correction term of order

Wavelet method applied to specific adhesion of elastic solids via molecular bonds
We propose a wavelet method to analyze the stochastic-elastic problem of specific adhesion between two elastic solids via ligand-receptor bond clusters, which is governed by a nonlinear integro-differential equation with a singular Cauchy kernel to ...

Cauchy Kernels for some Conformally Flat Manifolds [PDF]
Here we will consider examples of conformally flat manifolds that are conformally equivalent to open subsets of the n-dimensional sphere. For such manifolds we shall introduce a Cauchy kernel and Cauchy integral formula for sections tasking values in a spinor bundle and annihilated by a Dirac operator, or generalized Cauchy-Riemann operator.

Self‐Similar Blowup for the Cubic Schrödinger Equation
ABSTRACT We give a rigorous proof for the existence of a finite‐energy, self‐similar solution to the focusing cubic Schrödinger equation in three spatial dimensions. The proof is computer‐assisted and relies on a fixed point argument that shows the existence of a solution in the vicinity of a numerically constructed approximation.

On a Boltzmann equation for Haldane statistics [PDF]
The study of quantum quasi-particles at low temperatures including their statistics, is a frontier area in modern physics. In a seminal paper F.D. Haldane proposed a definition based on a generalization of the Pauli exclusion principle for fractional ...
