Unitarity Cuts: NLO Six-Gluon Amplitudes in QCD [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
We report on a technique for evaluating finite unitarity cut for one-loop amplitudes in gauge theories, and discuss its application to the cut-constructible part of six-gluon amplitude in QCD.Comment: talk given at Loops & Legs 2006, April 23-28 ...

Analytical Solution for the Problem of Point Location in Arbitrary Planar Domains

open access: yesAlgorithms
This paper presents a general analytical solution for the problem of locating points in planar regions with an arbitrary geometry at the boundary. The proposed methodology overcomes the traditional solutions used for polygonal regions.

Hyperbolic Cauchy problem and Leray's residue formula

open access: yes, 2000
We give an algebraic description of wave fronts that appear in strictly hyperbolic Cauchy problem. Concrete form of definig function of wave front issued from initial algebraic variety is obtained by the aid of the Gauss-Manin systems satisfied by Gel ...

Revisiting stress propagation in a three-dimensional elastic sphere under diametric loading

open access: yesNihon Kikai Gakkai ronbunshu
The stress propagation for a three-dimensional elastic sphere under a diametric loading condition in the framework of the linear elastodynamics is revisited. By describing displacements in terms of scalar and vector potentials using the Helmholtz theorem,

General Variational Formulas for Abelian Differentials

open access: yes, 2018
We use the jump problem technique developed in a recent paper by Grushevsky, Krichever and the second author to compute the variational formula of any stable differential and its periods to arbitrary precision in plumbing coordinates.

The Huang–Yang Formula for the Low‐Density Fermi Gas: Upper Bound

open access: yesCommunications on Pure and Applied Mathematics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We study the ground state energy of a gas of spin 1/2$1/2$ fermions with repulsive short‐range interactions. We derive an upper bound that agrees, at low density ϱ$\varrho$, with the Huang–Yang conjecture. The latter captures the first three terms in an asymptotic low‐density expansion, and in particular the Huang–Yang correction term of order

From duality to determinants for q-TASEP and ASEP [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
We prove duality relations for two interacting particle systems: the $q$-deformed totally asymmetric simple exclusion process ($q$-TASEP) and the asymmetric simple exclusion process (ASEP).

Self‐Similar Blowup for the Cubic Schrödinger Equation

open access: yesCommunications on Pure and Applied Mathematics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We give a rigorous proof for the existence of a finite‐energy, self‐similar solution to the focusing cubic Schrödinger equation in three spatial dimensions. The proof is computer‐assisted and relies on a fixed point argument that shows the existence of a solution in the vicinity of a numerically constructed approximation.

Comparison of the Cauchy Integral Formula and Residue Theorem on the Calculation of Definite Integrals

open access: yesHighlights in Science, Engineering and Technology, 2023
Integration is a useful mathematical tool which is applied in a wide range of studies and assists people to solve many problems. Despite methods of real analysis, complex integrations in complex analysis are more beneficial and more convenient than real integrations under certain circumstances.

The Benjamin–Ono Equation in the Zero‐Dispersion Limit for Rational Initial Data: Generation of Dispersive Shock Waves

open access: yesCommunications on Pure and Applied Mathematics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The leading‐order asymptotic behavior of the solution of the Cauchy initial‐value problem for the Benjamin–Ono equation in L2(R)$L^2(\mathbb {R})$ is obtained explicitly for generic rational initial data u0$u_0$. An explicit asymptotic wave profile uZD(t,x;ε)$u^\mathrm{ZD}(t,x;\epsilon)$ is given, in terms of the branches of the multivalued ...
