Abstract ‘Specimens of this species have been collected in Taiwan in recent years (L. L. Severinghaus and K-Y Luc, pers. comm.). Whether it is native to Taiwan cannot yet be determined since it is known that Taiwanese pet shops and restaurants import them from the mainland’ (Zhao and Adler 1993).
