Fifth International Conference on Application of Concurrency to System Design (ACSD'05), 2006
Perfectly synchronous systems immediately react to the inputs of their environment, which may lead to so-called causality cycles between actions and their trigger conditions. Algorithms to analyze the consistency of such cycles usually extend data types by an additional value to explicitly indicate unknown values.

Economic Policy Uncertainty and Investor Sentiment: linear and nonlinear causality analysis
Applied Economics Letters, 2018In this paper, we study the relationship between economic policy uncertainty and investor sentiment. US data were analysed based on linear and non-linear Granger causality analysis. We reveal the obvious impact that economic policy uncertainty has on the

Vegetation‐Climate Interactions on the Loess Plateau: A Nonlinear Granger Causality Analysis
Journal of Geophysical Research: Atmospheres, 2018In this study, we used a multiyear normalized difference vegetation index data set (1981–2015), and corresponding data sets for observed climatic factors, to investigate vegetation‐climate interactions on the Loess Plateau using an innovative nonlinear ...

American Journal of Evaluation, 2015
In policy evaluations, interest may focus on why a particular treatment works. One tool for understanding why treatments work is causal mediation analysis. In this essay, I focus on the assumptions needed to estimate mediation effects. I show that there is no “gold standard” method for the identification of causal mediation effects.
