Burns, 1994Three women successively using the same sunbed received superficial to medium partial thickness burns as a result of an ultraviolet filter slipping out of place. Burns of Children Caused by Electric Stoves
Journal of Burn Care & Rehabilitation, 1998During a 2-year period, eight patients sustained burns caused by the tipping over of electric stoves. In seven of these cases, children aged 2 to 4 years stood up on the open oven door of a stove. The stove then tipped forward, and a pot of boiling liquid on the stove spilled onto the child, who fell forward across the oven door.

An unusual cause of facial burn.
European Journal of Pediatric Dermatology, 2023A 10-year-old boy was urgently examined due to the sudden appearance of burn lesions of the fronto-palpebral region. Physical examination showed linear and circinate burn lesions of the eyelids and frontal region. The medical history informed us that the lesions had appeared following the explosion of a “panzerotto” that the child was about to eat.
