A cavernous sinus cavernous hemangioma
Journal of Neurosurgery, 1986✓ The case of a Turner's syndrome patient with an intracavernous cavernous hemangioma is presented. The rarity of this lesion is stressed, as is surgical removal without postoperative deficit, the role of estrogens in the pathogenesis, and the clinical and radiological findings.

Neurosurgery Clinics of North America, 1999
The parasellar region, in particular the cavernous sinus, represents the confluence of critical structures involved in both the afferent and efferent visual pathways. It is not surprising that lesions affecting the area of the cavernous sinus most frequently present with neuro-ophthalmic complaints, which include double vision, decreased vision, pain ...

Cavernous Sinus Cavernous Hemangiomas
2016Cavernous sinus cavernous hemangiomas (CSCHs) are distinct from cavernous malformations (angiomas). CSCHs are benign vascular tumors, not true vascular malformations; they frequently present with headaches and cranial nerve paresis. Cavernous angiomas, on the other hand, are true vascular malformations that may be located anywhere in the ...

Embolization Method for Cavernous Sinus Fistula within the Cavernous Sinus
Interventional Neuroradiology, 1998The complications of dural and direct cavernous sinus fistula (CCF) arise mainly from the specific venous route. However, embolization at an inappropriate site within the cavernous sinus (CS) is also a major factor. Therefore, we first diagrammed the surrounding structures of the CS to elucidate the specificity of the venous routes.

Cavernous Angioma of the Cavernous Sinus: Case Report
Neurosurgery, 1990Abstract An unusual case of cavernous angioma in the cavernous sinus (“cavernous cavernoma”) is presented. The acute onset of symptoms simulated Tolosa-Hunt syndrome, and after neuroradiological investigations, the suspected diagnosis was an intracavernous meningioma.

Radiosurgical treatment of cavernous sinus cavernous haemangiomas
Acta Neurochirurgica, 2004The objective of this report is to evaluate the effects of radiosurgery on cavernous sinus cavernous haemangiomas (CSCHs).Five cases of CSCHs are presented in this report. One of them was diagnosed only neuroradiologically. Other patients underwent surgery and were then referred to Gamma Knife radiosurgery for residual tumours.

Carotico-cavernous fistula complicating cavernous sinus thrombophlebitis
Clinical Radiology, 1968The clinical course and angiographic findings are described in a patient who developed cavernous sinus thrombophlebitis from a carbuncle on his upper lip. The case appears unique in that it was later complicated by the development of a carotico-cavernous fistula.
