Dynamics of cavitation bubbles
Canadian Journal of Physics, 1976The dynamics of an adiabatic gas–filled bubble in a viscous liquid is studied when subjected to a tension wave produced by a shock wave reflected off the water surface. Below a critical bubble size the water does not cavitate. Numerical solutions show that cavitation causes severe prolongation and attenuation of the original tension wave.

Effects of diffusion on gaseous cavitation bubbles
The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1973Rectified diffusion is a mechanism whereby a gas bubble, set into pulsation by a sound field, grows in size because of an effective gating action by the bubble surface area.
