Modeling and Characterization of a Self‐Sensing Soft Hydraulic Muscle

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
This article presents the self‐sensing soft hydraulic muscle (SSHM), a novel soft actuator capable of simultaneously sensing force and length without external sensors. A comprehensive model accurately predicts SSHM behavior, validated experimentally with minimal errors. Using propylene glycol enhances durability and reduces hysteresis.

Experimental study on cavitation erosion behaviours and anti-cavitation erosion mechanisms of Inconel 600 and Inconel 625 nickel-based alloy

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology
An ultrasonic vibration device was employed to study the cavitation erosion behaviour of Inconel 600 and Inconel 625 nickel-based superalloys. The cumulative mass loss and erosion rate curves as a function of test time were used to evaluate the ...

Cavitation of refratory samples based on talc and domestic zeolite [PDF]

open access: yesTehnika, 2018
Using domestic zeolite from Igroš as row material for ceramic samples for application in condition of cavitation erosion. Samples based on talc with 15 % of zeolite, from Igroš, sintered at 1200oC were used in this investigation. The ultrasonic vibratory

Advancing design strategies in smart stimulus‐responsive liposomes for drug release and nanomedicine

open access: yesBMEMat, EarlyView.
Schematic illustration of stimulus‐responsive liposomes designed for controlled drug release and nanomedicine. The innermost circle represents different liposomal structures, including unilamellar, multilamellar, and multivesicular liposomes. The middle layer illustrates the responsive phospholipid components.

Surge Instability on a Cavitating Propeller [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
This study details experiments investigating a previously unrecognized surge instability on a cavitating propeller in a water tunnel. The surge instability is explored through visual observation of the cavitation on the propeller blades and in the tip ...

Copper‐Based Conductive Nanoinks: Scalable Synthesis via Continuous‐Flow Microwave‐Assisted Polyol Process

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
Microwave‐assisted polyol synthesis in continuous flow produces metallic Cu nanoparticles, using ethylene glycol as solvent and reducing agent, lignin to stabilize the colloid and prevent oxidation, and metal‐seeds for particle size control. Metallic copper nanoparticles are a promising alternative to gold and silver in printed electronics due to their

Ti6Al4V anti-cavitation coating prepared by in-situ micro-forging cold spraying on aluminum substrate

open access: yesCailiao gongcheng
To solve the problem of cavitation protection on the surface of aluminum alloy flow-handling components, Ti6Al4V coatings are prepared by in-situ micro-forging assisted cold spraying. Large-size 202 stainless steel particles are mixed into Ti6Al4V powder
