Cavitation erosion testing of different cavitation-resistent materials and coatings using the cavitating jet method

An experimental test circuit was built with submerged nozzle with diameter 1.2 mm and inlet pressure 200 bar. Several specimens of different cavitation resistant materials used for hydraulic turbines (e.g. 13Cr4Ni) and coatings (e.g. tungsten and chromium carbides) were tested.
