Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Stabilization of Transverse Modes for a High Finesse Near-Unstable Cavity

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2019
We develop a method to lock a high-finesse near-unstable Fabry−Perot (FP) cavity (F = 7330) to a frequency stable dye laser operating at 605.78 nm using the Pound−Drever−Hall technique.

Facilely Flexible Imprinted Hemispherical Cavity Array for Effective Plasmonic Coupling as SERS Substrate

open access: yesNanomaterials, 2021
The focusing field effect excited by the cavity mode has a positive coupling effect with the metal localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) effect, which can stimulate a stronger local electromagnetic field.

CavityPlus: a web server for protein cavity detection with pharmacophore modelling, allosteric site identification and covalent ligand binding ability prediction

open access: yesNucleic Acids Res., 2018
CavityPlus is a web server that offers protein cavity detection and various functional analyses. Using protein three-dimensional structural information as the input, CavityPlus applies CAVITY to detect potential binding sites on the surface of a given ...

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Squeezed states of magnons and phonons in cavity magnomechanics [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review A, 2018
A ferrimagnetic yttrium-iron-garnet sphere placed inside a cavity provides a platform for investigating macroscopic quantum phenomena. By exploring the strong coupling between magnons and cavity-polaritons, as well as the magnetostrictive interaction, a ...

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Vertical cavity surface emitting lasers. [PDF]

open access: yes, 1993
Vertical cavity surface emitting laser (VCSEL) structures have been grown by both metal-organic chemical vapour deposition (MOCVD) and molecular beam epitaxy (MBE).

ZW4864‐mediated inhibition of the β‐catenin/BCL9/BCL9L complex reveals therapeutic potential in bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
BCL9 and BCL9L drive bladder cancer progression by enhancing β‐catenin signaling, promoting proliferation, migration, invasion, and organoid growth. Genetic depletion of BCL9(L) suppresses malignant phenotypes, while pharmacological disruption of the β‐catenin/BCL9(L) complex with ZW4864 inhibits canonical Wnt signaling and tumor‐associated cellular ...
