본 연구에서는 심리장애 진단을 받은 아동을 대상으로 K-CBCL 11개 문제행동 증후군 척도의 변별력 및 임상적 유용성, 구체적 하위유형의 기준을 제시하였다. 이를 위해 DSM-Ⅳ 진단에 따라 진단받은 만 4-11세 남아 271명, 여아 87명 총 358명 아동의 K-CBCL 프로파일을 군집분석하였다. 연구 결과 심리장애 진단집단에 따라 K-CBCL 11개 문제행동 증후군 척도의 차이가 나타났다. 사회적 문제, 사고의 문제, 주의집중 문제는 정신지체, 전반적 발달장애군에서 그 외의 진단군에 비해 점수가 가장 높았고, 사회적 문제, 주의집중문제는 학습 및 의사소통장애군에서 점수가 가장 높았다.
