Optimal Charge and Color Breaking conditions in the MSSM

open access: yes, 2001
In the MSSM, we make a careful tree-level study of Charge and Color Breaking conditions in the plane $(H_2, \tilde{u}_L, \tilde{u}_R)$, focusing on the top quark scalar case.

A comprehensive checklist of Mediterranean wild edible plants: Diversity, traditional uses, and knowledge gaps

open access: yesPLANTS, PEOPLE, PLANET, EarlyView.
The use of wild edible plants and the traditional knowledge associated with them are rapidly disappearing across the Mediterranean, with serious consequences for biodiversity, cultural heritage, and regional food security. This study compiles and organizes fragmented information to create the first comprehensive catalogue of these plants across the ...

Costoclavicular block as a diaphragm-sparing nerve block for shoulder surgery: a randomized controlled trial [PDF]

open access: yesKorean Journal of Anesthesiology
Background Distal nerve block approaches have been explored to reduce hemidiaphragmatic paresis (HDP) more effectively than interscalene block (ISB). However, these approaches are associated with a high incidence of HDP.

Mesoscale dynamics of cyclone Leslie (2018): A diagnostic analysis of a rare Iberian landfall

open access: yesQuarterly Journal of the Royal Meteorological Society, EarlyView.
This study presents a successful numerical simulation of cyclone Leslie (2018), using WRF‐ARW v4.5.1. Several mesoscale dynamics were identified indicative of the occurrence of sting jet and cold conveyor belt, which potentiated the record‐breaking winds in central Portugal.

Cardiac disease in systemic sclerosis: Integrating pathobiology with clinical management

open access: yesRheumatology &Autoimmunity, EarlyView.
Abstract Systemic sclerosis (SSc) is a complex autoimmune disorder in which cardiovascular involvement remains a major determinant of morbidity and mortality. Cardiac injury in SSc results from the interplay of microvascular dysfunction, immune‐mediated inflammation, and progressive interstitial and replacement fibrosis, leading to myocardial disease ...

Sympatho‐Excitation in Pulmonary Hypertension: The Potential Role of Pulmonary Arterial Baroreceptors: An Acute Physiologic Intervention Study

open access: yesRespirology, EarlyView.
Pulmonary arterial baroreceptors reflexively stimulate sympathetic nerve activity (SNA) in response to elevated pulmonary artery pressure and distension. In pulmonary hypertension patients, changes in muscle SNA were proportional to changes in pulmonary haemodynamics following nebulised iloprost.

Abdominal pigmentation polymorphism of Drosophila polymorpha (Dobzhansky and Pavan, 1943) collected on Ilha de Santa Catarina and neighboring islands

open access: yesBiotemas, 2001

Color and charge breaking minima in the MSSM

open access: yes, 1996
The scalar potential of theories with broken supersymmetry can have a number of local minima characterized by different gauge groups. Symmetry properties of the physical vacuum constrain the parameters of the MSSM.

From ESG to Sustainable Development: A Path Designed for the Triple Helix Spheres

open access: yesSustainable Development, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This work examines the relationship between environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives and sustainable development (SD), highlighting a scientific gap in their effective connection. It aims to propose a framework with recommendations for promoting SD through ESG, considering the governmental, business, and academic spheres from ...
