Unlocking the Alkynyl Bromide Radical Anion With Alternating Current for Inverse Sonogashira C─H Coupling

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An alternating current (AC)‐promoted, Pd‐catalyzed ortho‐aryl C─H alkynylation of 2,3‐diaryl acrylaldehydes is described. This synthetic scheme accommodates a broad substrate scope, delivering alkynylated stilbene derivatives with excellent arene site selectivity.

Corrosion Inhibition Properties of Corrosion Inhibitors to under-Deposit Corrosion of X65 Steel in CO2 Corrosion Conditions

open access: yesMolecules
Under-deposit corrosion is widely present in the pipelines of oil and gas production, causing significant corrosion damage. In this paper, a novel electrochemical cathodic-polarization method was carried out to accelerate the formation of CaCO3 scale on ...

6.1% Volumetric Negative Thermal Expansion Induced by the Reversible Reconstructive Phase Transition in Pb‐Free Bi1−xLnxCoO3 (Ln: Lanthanoid)

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Perovskite‐type oxide lanthanoid‐substituted BiCoO3 exhibits a reversible negative thermal expansion (NTE) originated from the coordination change from the CoO5 pyramid to the CoO6 octahedron due to melting of the dxy orbital ordering in the d6 electron configuration, and the 6.1% volume shrinkage in Bi0.82Nd0.18CoO3 is the largest ever observed in the

Directional Second Sphere Effect on CO2 Activation and Reduction by Iron Porphyrin in Aprotic and Protic Media

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Directional control within the secondary coordination sphere redefines CO2 reduction by iron porphyrins. Simply rearranging identical urea hydrogen‐bond donors modulates reactivity, revealing that optimal catalysis does not only arise from maximal intermediate stabilization, but also from directional, adaptive non‐covalent interactions that balance ...

Ferrocenecarboxylic anhydride: a redetermination

open access: yesIUCrData, 2016
The title molecule, [Fe2(C5H5)2(C12H8O3)], briefly reported previously [Zhang (2015). Private Communication (CCDC reference 1056736). CCDC, Cambridge, England], comprises two ferrocenyl units connected by an acid anhydride bridge.

The synthesis of hydroxy-pyrrolizidines and indolizidines from cyclopropenones: towards hyacinthacines, australines and jenamidines [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
The reaction of cyclic imines (1-pyrrolines and piperideines) with a cyclopropenone leads to pyrrolizidines and indolizidines, respectively, each with a hydroxy group on the carbon atom of the bridgehead. The cyclopropenone functions as an all-carbon 1,3-

Cobalt‐Catalyzed Asymmetric Construction of Boron Stereocenters With C–N Axial Chirality

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A cobalt/Salox‐catalyzed one‐pot annulation enables enantioselective formation of B‐stereogenic centers and C─N axial chirality via C─H/N─H annulation, affording diverse fluorescent products with high stereocontrol and optoelectronic potential. ABSTRACT The efficient construction of boron stereogenic centers alongside axial chirality remains a ...

Nonnative Thiol and Aniline Methylation, Including Enantioselective Dithiol Desymmetrization, by Multicomponent Cobamide‐Dependent Methyltransferases Using Unactivated Methyl Donors

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Mixed MtaABC/MtgABC methyltransferase systems were developed for non‐native thiol and aniline methylation using the unactivated methyl donors methanol and glycine betaine. The platform enabled site‐selective and enantioselective methylation with turnover number up to 6000, representing the first enantioselective non‐native catalysis by cobamide ...

Combined Exposure of Activated Intestinal Epithelial Cells to Nondigestible Oligosaccharides and CpG-ODN Suppresses Th2-Associated CCL22 Release While Enhancing Galectin-9, TGFβ, and Th1 Polarization

open access: yesMediators of Inflammation, 2019
Background. Short-chain galacto- and long-chain fructo-oligosaccharides (scGOS/lcFOS) and CpG-ODN affect intestinal epithelial cells (IEC). Epithelial IL1α may contribute to allergic sensitization via autocrine mediator release affecting dendritic cells (
