The Effect of Free and Nanoliposomal Curcumin on the Viability and Acid Production of Single‐Species (Streptococcus mutans) and Polymicrobial Biofilms

open access: yesClinical and Experimental Dental Research, Volume 12, Issue 2, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Objectives Dental caries is a global health concern caused by the formation of cariogenic biofilms and their acid production. While various approaches have been tried, the rise of antibiotic‐resistant microorganisms necessitates safer and more effective antimicrobial solutions.

Characteristics of Patients With Severe Hypochloremia in the Emergency Department: A Single Center Retrospective Study

open access: yesHealth Science Reports, Volume 9, Issue 4, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Background and Aims Hypochloremia is an electrolyte disturbance in which the serum chloride concentration is abnormally low. Hypochloremia is associated with poor outcomes in critically ill patients in the intensive care unit (ICU) and coronary care unit (CCU), but little is known about its prevalence and prognosis in the emergency department (

Unlocking Green Oxygen's Potential for Planetary Carbon Management

open access: yesChemSusChem, Volume 19, Issue 5, 13 March 2026.
Water electrolysis generates both H2 and O2, yet industrial focus remains largely restricted to H2‐driven reductions. The parallel use of O2 offers considerable rewards but remains underexplored. Unlocking this dual‐gas potential necessitates robust cross‐sector communication to identify and scale viable industrial use cases.

Liquid‐Phase Syngas‐To‐Methanol at Low Temperature: Mixed Alcohol Solvent‐Controlled Pathways for Circular Carbon Manufacturing

open access: yesChemSusChem, Volume 19, Issue 5, 13 March 2026.
Low‐temperature liquid‐phase methanol synthesis from syngas was demonstrated over CuO/ZnO/Al2O3 catalysts using mixed alcohol solvents. Solvent composition controls ester intermediate and methanol productivity. Methanol is a primary platform chemical for circular manufacturing.
