Online identification of aerodynamic parameters of experimental rockets was completed based on unscented Kalman filtering (UKF). Numerical simulation, hardware‐in‐the‐loop (HIL) simulation, and flight tests were conducted. The identification error of aerodynamic force in numerical simulation and HIL simulation is within 2%.

The Mechanism and New Strategy on Competitive Release Effect of β‐Cyclodextrin Inclusion Complexes
Competitive release is an important release pattern of β‐cyclodextrin (β‐CD) inclusion complexes. Releasing flavor by absorbing harmful molecules is an ideal situation. Thus, two inclusion complexes, phenethyl alcohol β‐CD inclusion (PACD) and phenol β‐CD inclusion (PNCD), were prepared and their combining capacity was studied.

Hydrodynamic air lubricated compliant surface bearing for an automotive gas turbine engine. 2: Materials and coatings [PDF]
Material coatings for an air-lubricated, compliant journal bearing for an automotive gas turbine engine were exposed to service test temperatures of 540 C or 650 C for 300 hours, and to 10 temperature cycles from room temperatures to the service test ...

Sparse additive regression on a regular lattice
We consider estimation in a sparse additive regression model with the design points on a regular lattice. We establish the minimax convergence rates over Sobolev classes and propose a Fourier-based rate-optimal estimator which is adaptive to the unknown ...

A Lattice Gauge Model of Singular Marsden-Weinstein Reduction. Part I. Kinematics [PDF]
The simplest nontrivial toy model of a classical SU(3) lattice gauge theory is studied in the Hamiltonian approach. By means of singular symplectic reduction, the reduced phase space is constructed. Two equivalent descriptions of this space in terms of a

Dynamics of Chaotic Inflation with Variable Space Dimension
Within the framework of a model Universe with variable space dimension, we study chaotic inflation with the potential $m^2\phi^2/2$, and calculate the dynamical solutions of the inflaton field, variable space dimension, scale factor, and their ...

Evolution of the Color-Magnitude Relation in Galaxy Clusters at z ~1 from the ACS Intermediate Redshift Cluster Survey [PDF]
We apply detailed observations of the Color-Magnitude Relation (CMR) with the ACS/HST to study galaxy evolution in eight clusters at z~1. The early-type red sequence is well defined and elliptical and lenticular galaxies lie on similar CMRs.
