Joint-Detection and Interference Cancellation Based Burst-by-Burst Adaptive CDMA Schemes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
Spread adaptive quadrature amplitude modulated (AQAM) code-division multiple access (CDMA) is proposed as a powerful means of exploiting the time-variant channel capacity fluctuations of wireless channels.

Equivalence of Linear MMSE Detection in DS-CDMA and MC-CDMA Systems over Time and Frequency Selective Channels

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Advances in Signal Processing, 2003
The goal of this paper is to compare the performance of the linear minimum mean square error (MMSE) detector for a class of code division multiple access (CDMA) systems in time and frequency selective channels. Specifically, we consider direct sequence (

Attenuation of Ascites Following Surgical Ligation of a Congenital Caudal Mesenteric Arteriovenous Fistula in a Dog

open access: yesCase Reports in Veterinary Medicine, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
A 1‐year‐and‐9‐month‐old intact female Pembroke Welsh Corgi (10.5 kg) was referred for abdominal distension, intermittent diarrhea, and ascites. Abdominocentesis yielded 1200 mL of transudate (specific gravity, 1.008). Serum biochemistry showed hyperammonemia (NH3, 163 μg/dL), increased bile acids, and mild hypoalbuminemia.

Linear equalizers for quasi-synchronous block spreading CDMA systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Recently, a block spreading code division multiple access (BS-CDMA) technique was presented whereby user-specific preceding along with orthogonal spreading codes are used to achieve multi-user interference (MUI) free when all users arrive at the base ...

Complementary Therapies in Pain Management in Hospitalized Patients: A Scoping Review

open access: yesNursing Forum, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Background The pain is influenced by various biopsychosocial factors. Its presence can negatively affect both the physiological and psychological states of an individual. Nonpharmacological strategies have gained prominence by complementing, rather than replacing, pharmacological treatment.

Performance of Fractionally Spread Multicarrier CDMA in AWGN as Well as Slow and Fast Nakagami-m Fading Channels [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
—In multicarrier code-division multiple-access (MCCDMA), the total system bandwidth is divided into a number of subbands, where each subband may use direct-sequence (DS) spreading and each subband signal is transmitted using a subcarrier frequency.

Ant-Colony-Based Multiuser Detection for MC DS-CDMA Systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
In this contribution we present a novel ant colony optimization (ACO) based multi-user detector (MUD) designed for synchronous multi-carrier direct sequence code division multiple access (MC DSCDMA) systems. The operation of the ACO-based MUD is based on

The Role of Porosity in SERS

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, Volume 13, Issue 34, December 2, 2025.
This review explores how engineered porous materials enhance surface‐enhanced Raman scatering (SERS) spectroscopy by synergizing analyte enrichment and electromagnetic field amplification. It is systematically evaluated four classes, nanoporous metals, plasmonic polymers, mesoporous silica, and metal‐organic frameworks (MOFs), highlighting their unique

Crest Factors of Complementary-Sequence-Based Multicode MC-CDMA Signals [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
The crest factor properties of binary phase-shift keying modulated two- and four-code assisted multicarrier code-division multiple-access (MC-CDMA) employing complementary-sequence-based spreading sequences are characterized.
