Insights into the human cDNA: A descriptive study using library screening in yeast

open access: yesJournal of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology
The utilization of human cDNA libraries in yeast genetic screens is an approach that has been used to identify novel gene functions and/or genetic and physical interaction partners through forward genetics using yeast two-hybrid (Y2H) and classical cDNA ...

cDNA library construction from a small amount of RNA: adaptor-ligation approach for two-round cRNA amplification using T7 and SP6 RNA polymerases

open access: yesBioTechniques, 2005
In this study, we developed a method that allows cDNA library construction from a small amount of RNA without causing serious size bias in the resulting cDNA population.

Buoyancy regulation and aggregate formation in Amoebobacter purpureus from Mahoney lake [PDF]

open access: yes, 1992
The meromictic Mahoney Lake (British Columbia, Canada) contains an extremely dense layer of purple sulfur bacteria (Amoebobacter purpureus). The buoyant density of Amoebobacter cells grown in pure culture at saturating light intensity was significantly ...

Biomimetic Copper‐Doped Nano‐Aluminum Adjuvant Potentiates Therapy in Chemoresistant Acute Myeloid Leukemia

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
We developed a novel copper‐doped aluminum nano‐adjuvant (CuNA) to overcome cytarabine resistance in acute myeloid leukemia (AML). CuNA effectively sensitizes drug‐resistant AML cells to cytarabine by inducing mitochondrial dysfunction and inhibiting HMGCR/GPX4 to amplify ferroptosis.

A Modular Bioinstructive Platform Reveals Mechanistic Insights into Additive‐Free, Topography‐Driven Osteogenesis

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Engineered microparticle topographies direct human mesenchymal stem cell osteogenesis without biochemical additives. This osteogenic commitment is driven by canonical Hedgehog signaling and followed by temporal IGF‐II engagement. Two‐photon polymerization demonstrates spatial control, enabling the engineering of topographical gradients that pattern ...

SMART amplification combined with cDNA size fractionation in order to obtain large full-length clones

open access: yesBMC Genomics, 2004
Background cDNA libraries are widely used to identify genes and splice variants, and as a physical resource for full-length clones. Conventionally-generated cDNA libraries contain a high percentage of 5'-truncated clones.

Counting absolute number of molecules using unique molecular identifiers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Advances in molecular biology have made it easy to identify different DNA or RNA species and to copy them. Identification of nucleic acid species can be accomplished by reading the DNA sequence; currently millions of molecules can be sequenced in a ...
