CdS-Decorated MIL-53(Fe) Microrods with Enhanced Visible Light Photocatalytic Performance for the Degradation of Ketorolac Tromethamine and Mechanism Insight

open access: yes, 2019
Metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) are extensively employed for environmental remediation due to their outstanding physical and chemical properties. Herein, we have demonstrated the complete and simplistic synthesis of CdS/MIL-53(Fe) using the solvothermal

Unified Analytical Framework for Understanding the Operational Stability of Blue Phosphorescent OLEDs: Quantitative Insights Into Exciton Recycling and Bimolecular Interactions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Blue phosphorescent OLEDs remain limited by poor operational stability. Here, a unified analytical framework integrating transient photoluminescence and magneto‐electroluminescence is developed to correlate intrinsic material photophysics with electrically driven degradation.

Powering Nanocrystal‐Based Heat Engines With Light‐Emitting Metasurfaces That Influence Their Temperature

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Metasurfaces and other structured photonic environments can dramatically modify the absorption and/or light emission of semiconductors. However, the consequences of these changes on the temperature of the system are not well understood. The authors address this problem for colloidal nanocrystals and leverage their findings to convert light into ...

Synthesis of Nitrogen-Doped Carbon Dots (N-Cds) using Hydrothemal Method from Jackfruit Peel as a Photodegradation of Rhodamin B

open access: yes
Nitrogen-Doped Carbon dots are fluorescent nanoparticles that can be synthesized from biomass. Jackfruit peel is a biomass waste containing 42.20% carbon which can be used as a precursor to synthesis carbon dots and ethylenediamine (EDA) as a nitrogen ...

Multifunctional Gold Nanocluster‐Based PROTAC System for Targeted Degradation of Phosphorylated Tau and Modulation of Neuroinflammation in Alzheimer's Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We present a novel proteolysis‐targeting chimera (PROTAC) system conjugated to lipoic acid gold nanoclusters (PLANC), designed to degrade pTau, regulate inflammatory signaling, and effectively traverse the blood‐brain barrier (BBB). PLANC degraded pTau at various phosphorylation sites, with mechanistic studies confirming proteasome‐mediated degradation

Credit spreads: An empirical analysis on the informational content of stocks, bonds, and CDS.. [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper explores the dynamic relationship between stock market implied credit spreads, CDS spreads, and bond spreads. A general VECM representation is proposed for changes in the three credit spread measures which accounts for zero, one, or two ...

Bioinspired Mechanically Robust Organic–Inorganic Hybridized Bio‐Adhesives With up to 50% Inorganic Components by Bi‐Continuous Phase Engineering

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A robust plant protein adhesive was prepared by fabricating a bi‐continuous organic–inorganic hybrid structure. Compared with traditional organic–inorganic hybrid adhesives, the addition amount of inorganic phase is increased from 0.2%–3.0% to 50%, and the strength and toughness are increased by 6 and 121 times, respectively.
